I'm using the 2.1 root for the Droid Eris. When I watched the Google annoucement about 2.1 and the Nexus One, I saw that every field in the OS was now able to be used with speaking. As in you speak your texts, emails, searches, etc. I know you need the Android keyboard with mic but I don't have that since I have the HTC keyboard.

Now honestly I'm surprised nobody has brought this up and I would think this is a wanted feature.

any thoughts?

hahaha this was brought up in the first leak and im guessing either its not going to be on at all for the Eris or Maybe that one of the features they will add at the release of the real 2.1 update

actually you're wrong. you just need the updated keyboard or a keyboard with the voice button. keep aimlessly posting over and over. i bet if i counted you'd have 25 real posts.

ok you want voice to text then buy better keyboard or uninstall htc keyboard and find a way to run the origanal android keyboard cause the HTC KEYBOARD DOES NOT SUPPORT IT AS OF NOW WHO KNOWS IN THE FUTURE, so your wrong cause the HTC keyboard does not support it who know if htc will want to add this later and just this thread is stupid, you have many stupid post too.

If it really does then post a picture the htc keyboard supporting the speech to text my phone supports it with the new vlingo keyboard but the htc keyboard does not have a botton for it.
