Where is the 4.3 Update for the Verizon Galaxy S3?

How big is the update. The one PDF file said about 116 mb. Is that right

Its definitely much bigger than that.

MUCH bigger. Unless my internet was being super slow just for this download.

KNOX devices have Enforcing SELinux. We have permissive so I'm pretty sure KNOX isn't there and this App Manager shown components are merely vestigial.

S Voice got a massive update. Uses Nuance instead of Vlingo, its 5x faster, and you can actually get accurate recognitions with background noise and it won't hang listening to it for days.

You can also download HD voice data offline for her.

Samsung Apps is preloaded so if you download the update from Samsung it can now install and update apps without external sources toggled on. Sometimes there are decent deals there *shrugs*

S Beam no longer toggles itself off when the phone is rebooted.

Has anyone been able to get this update to install via Kies? OTA update on my S3 has been saying unavailable for the past week and the only fix is apparently to get a new SIM card although I don't use a SIM as this isn't my primary phone.

So is there a way to change SELinux to Enforcing so I can use Knox?

I was charging my S III off my laptop with a data cable, and got a pop-up message that there was a Verizon USB software update available, do you want to update? I gave it the go-ahead. A short time later, I got the message that it was done, and my phone was up to date. I turned the phone on, but didn't see any changes, so I checked to see if there were any software updates available, and sure enough, Verizon asked if I wanted to download an update. It was a big one, and took about 15-20 minutes via high speed WiFi in the same room to download. So far it looks good, and no apparent problems. I don't see Knox. Some great improvements, though. This was about midnight here in the Nashville outlying communities.

What happens if you select "No Thanks" when the update pop up screen offers the update? How is this different from "download later"? Tks.

I did notice that :-) I love that I wish they would've left the mobile data as well though its not that much harder to get to it though lol so it doesn't bother me too bad.

The mobile toggle is still there, just not set as a default toggle after the update. You can add or remove toggles by going to SETTINGS > DISPLAY > NOTIFICATION PANEL. Long press on icons to drag them to active notification from available buttons and vice versa for customization.

The second way to access all the toggles is to pull down the notification bar with one finger and hit the box in the very top right hand corner and change to grid style and all toggles will appear.

The third way to access all toggles is to use two fingers to pull down the notification bar and all the toggles will be displayed in grid mode.

"No Thanks" is the option I chose on the last update and the one I wish I chose this time. It declines the update until Verizon eventually forces it to the phone. From previous experience, it differs from download later because theoretically it gives you more time with your current version compared to download later.

Anyone noticed any increased battery drain? My phone dropped to 96 percent after a minute when I unplugged it lol. I'm gonna drain it all the way down this weekend a couple time and see if that helps. I haven't reformatted or anything either so I might do that if it doesn't settle down after a couple days lol

Thanks! Yes this feature is now on the Verizon S3 update... You can turn the tabs on and off by using the bottom left menu bottom while in the phones settings menu.
