Where the heck is Gear S2 Classic!?

Did I miss something? I thought all the watches are available on Oct. 2 except for the 3G watches.

I have looked everywhere for the Classic model and no one knows anything. Amazon is not listing it and Best Buy says coming soon ( called corporate, not listed in inventory at all yet).

I stumbled on Amazon for Germany and they have it. Samsung website has it listed ships 3 to 4 weeks! Is it not sold in the US? What's going on?

Samsung Rep at the Best Buy I bought my S2 from yesterday had no clue when they would get them. I'm in the DC/MD/VA area and he checked the entire region for any classics and he came up with none. At that point I just bought the black S2 which was one of five that they had on hand. .. No white or Classic..

Well I did what Alot of ppl did wait forever for the s2 watch to finally come Oct 2nd I called tmobile stores they said you can only buy it from T-Mobile online not sold in actually store Idk why but anyway went to best buy all they had was a floor model in grey and they said they don't have any at all in any stores and didn't know when they would get them smh so I wanted a smartwatch ended up getting the lg urban watch running Android 5.1 beautiful watch bought the floor model for $296 instead of $349 anyway brought it home very nice and sleek the only issues it would lag and say disconnected from phone device Idk but had to restart watch and for what it's worth the android store app had limited apps i didn't see Gmail or other helpful apps. The lg urban watch doesn't have a speaker you can't listen to music from your watch Ik ppl will be like who cares but the point of having a smartwatch is to keep your ph in your pocket or away. Samsung s2 3g model not available yet the s2 classic isn't available for another 3-4 wks I could never understand samsung when it comes to making new products available it's always a treasure hunt trying to find the newest next big thing lol I had all the Samsung note phones I have the note 5 now and would like the s2 bc it offers nfc payment from the watch. Going to order the s2 from Samsung website grey version basis available now.

Macy's now has it in stock for delivery and there is limited Classic's at some Best Buy stores. I picked one up this morning.

Managed to get a Classic from Best Buy today they only got 5 and were sold out in a couple hours.

I ordered mine from BB and it shipped and will be here Monday. No stores around me had them.

I wouldn't buy it from Macy's as they charge $50 more than what it is supposed to cost. Unless they changed their pricing.

Actually, it was listed on Samsung's USA website just after midnight on October 2nd for $399, and the regular S2 was listed at $349. I was really disappointed, but then quickly checked out Best Buy's website which had them $50 less. By 6am, Samsung website had lowered down to $299 and $349.

So we got a gear s2 from Macy's last week and ordered 2 gear s2 classics for my wife and I which got delivered yesterday. We both like the classic a lot better. The leather band is pretty comfy and fits better on her smaller wrist than the sport. The two things that I like better about the classic is that the screen is flush with the wheel instead of in a depression like the sport so you can swip all the way to the edge of the screen without bumping into the bezel. The screen also goes right up to the ring instead of the extra bezel between the ring and screen on the sport. The ring turns the same on the sport and classic but I find that I use the edge more on the classic given the additional grip.

I have the note 5 and went back to using Samsung messages instead of Google messages since you can see multiple threads using the native Samsung app on the watch including your entire conversation and replies sent from the phone and it works as an acceptable alternative to Google messages. Definitely wishing for more quality apps to come out though.

Interesting about how the screen is not recessed on the Classic, like it is on the Sport. I don't mind it on the Sport since less likely to scratch screen (but more likely to scratch bezel). Can't wait to actually see one.

I returned mine 24 hours later. The main reason I returned it was it is just too small for me. I felt like I was wearing a woman's watch. Just my opinion I know others will disagree. So, the looks were the main reason. The other reason is Gear S2 in general not just the classic. Samsung said there would be a 1000 apps available at launch. This is completely not true. The app selection is almost non existent. I am sure I will get better but I could not live with it when I physically did not like how the watch looked. For $350 I need to love it and it was just OK.

I bought the classic so far I'm loving it, compared to the motor 360 That I had for a year the gear s2 is way better, I prefer tizen over android wear

I can appreciate different OS's, but don't you miss Google Maps and Ok Google? That's one off my big hang ups with Tizen.

Damn, I just got a email yesterday saying mine is shipping Nov 12th...

The Samsung official site already in stock for shipment. If I wasn't getting 5% cash back from amazon, I would have went with Samsung or Macy's
