Where's my dark mode?

I have the latest version of the Android P Dev preview, but my dark mode does not work. Any ideas on how to fix other than factory reset?

Also, does anyone have any idea on how to reorder home screens?

Don't use dark mode so I can't help you there, although it works fine here.

it should be obvious that I know where to find the theme, because I've said that it's not working. but, I suppose some people would automatically think that the theme would just turn on despite the user selecting the option... I SUPPOSE! LOL!

Just FYI on dark mode, it's not a full fledged dark mode where settings page gets dark. It only darkens the notification shade and app drawer. So if that's what you are seeing, then it's by design.

I don't know if you tried going into settings then display and look at theme and see if dark mode is enable instead of automatic to your wallpaper

Are you using a live wallpaper or an app that sets the wallpaper? Both of those seem to break it, as that mode is tied to the launcher for some reason.

That's the conflict then. If you select a stock wallpaper from the wallpaper picker (lives category doesn't work) or a photo through the wallpaper picker, that'll work.

That was definitely the issue. It doesn't work with my beautiful widgets live wallpaper, but it does work with Google's own live wallpapers. Thank you so much for that. You saved me from doing a factory reset, which I'm sure would not have fixed the problem.
