Where's the Pie?! 🍰

I haven't recieved my Pie update yet! I'm with T-Mobile and I read on a T-Mobile Support forum page, posted the beginning of March, that the carriers weren't in charge of the release of the update, Samsung is. The Note 9 was just getting the Pie update (in the beginning of March) so the update will be be released to older models be a couple months later.

Who else hasn't received the update?

If your device is carrier branded, the update is up to both (actually 3 parties, but OK... ) First, Google puts out the update (which manufacturers have beforehand). Then, since each manufacturer tinkers with it to suit their own devices and experiences (in this case Samsung), they have to further modify it and then release that. Once that's done, it's up to each carrier (in this case, T-Mobile) to further modify/adapt that to their own modifications and needs. And that's when you get your update.

As of 3/28, the T-Mobile Note 8 status is flagged as 'Testing', which means it's not yet ready for release. As for a specific date, well... that's up to T-Mobile.

Sprint just started pushing out for their Note 8 owners.

I am in the same boat w/T-Mobile for both of my phones (Note 8 and LG V40). Nothing yet for me either.

Tentatively, Pie update has been announced for Telus customers for April 01. Is Virgin part of the Telus network?

No, unfortunately not part of Telus, but Virgin is part of Bell.

For those on T-Mobile, the Note 8 Pie update is still in testing phase.

Contrary to some blog reports online who reported that it was being pushed out for the T-Mobile Note 8.

It came out on Virgin Mobile Canada on my Note 8. Downloaded this morning and I love it so far!
