Hi, I've got a large document in pdf which has multiple images on it, is there an app that can convert these images into text, so that word searches can be done using OCR technology... I think there's a video for iOS but not for android using PDFelement... but open to other apps available whether free or paid... thx.

Thanks for your support guy's, apprantly not available in this country... thats what says on Google play... I will post a new one just in case anyone else having the same issue.

Google Drive can actually act as an OCR scanner as well, without having to use Stack -- but it requires you to use the Google Drive web interface on your computer browser. Here are the steps:

1. Open Drive and tap the plus icon at the lower right.
2. Select Scan.
3. Take a picture of the document, which will save as a PDF (you can crop it and rename it prior to saving it).
4. Go to drive.google.com on your computer browser.
5. Right click the PDF file, then Open With ... , then select Google Docs.
6. The PDF will be converted to a Docs file, with editable text.

This can happen for various reasons, but I'm not privy to the exact reasons. This app was developed by Google's Area 120, which is a kind of app research division, so they might just be releasing it to certain regions initially. Maybe just another way to do beta testing?
