Which carbon fiber skin is better dbrand or slickwrap?

Re: dbrand or slickwrap?

Thinking about picking up the black carbon fiber skin for my white Note 5. I think I'll go with slick wraps because I've heard nothing but bad things about d-brand customer service. I watched a install video for a d-brand skin and the guy said they charged him $3.00 for shipping and it arrived to his house with a 50 cent stamp on it.

Re: dbrand or slickwrap?

I personally never tried dbrand because I heard of only a few days ago. Until now I've always used Slickwraps and was very happy with their product. The only negative thing is that the prices (in comparison with dbrand) are a bit higher and at the moment for example I'm searching for a skin for my preordered iPhone 6s but seems like there is no preorder option at Slickwraps so I have to preorder the skin at dbrand.

From my understanding, the iPhone 6 accessories can fit the 6s. Research it before u buy tho.

Nope, unfortunately not. The iPhone 6s is slightly bigger which would cause a non perfect fit of the skin. That's why I had to order my iPhone 6s skin from dbrand cause there is no skin available for preorder for iPhone 6s at Slickwraps (only the marvel edition) :/

Well maybe the skins but I know the cases will fit though. There is enough information on that re cases. I can't see how the skins won't though. But ok. Good to know. I like skins.

I just bought new Nexus 6's for my wife and I. Wanted to protect them without bulking them up.
I was going to buy Dbrand because of the reviews and the better pricing. I e-mailed them to ask a question a week ago and still no response. Then I discovered Slickwraps. I just ordered a black carbon from their website, but I'm going to cancel it because I just realized they also sell on Amazon so I'm going to buy it there because i'm Prime so I won't have to pay that dumb $3 shipping fee.

Once I get my carbon black and test it i'll post my thoughts. If I like it i'm going to order the red from their color series for my wife's phone. The only concern I have is a lot of reviews talking about it peeling off. So we'll see.

So I ordered my Slickwraps skin on the 14th from Amazon to save $3 on shipping and use their free 2 day shipping service. However, It still took 4 days to get to me, received on the 18th.

I ordered the Carbon black and while it does help with grip, it's not quite as grippy as I thought it would be. It looks and feels great in the hand though. Slickwraps customer service was very nice on the phone when I told them I was canceling my order with them to order from Amazon.

In the end I guess I can't really rate Slickwraps on anything but their customer service which was 5/5. I have nothing to compare the skin to, but it was basically a waste of $20, as it tore in 4 places upon applying to the back and I gave up trying to apply it after that. So after that I just sloppily stuck it on just to use it in hand and see how it felt. The tears stick up and scratch my hand. I didn't apply the rest of the skin because I figure at this point i'm just going to take it off and throw it away and the back is the only thing I truly wanted on there for the grip.

In the end I like Slickwraps as a company, but their product is very fragile. So $20 down the drain, going to try dbrand next.

I am going to order one either today or tomorrow. I cant decide between slip wraps or Dbrands. Dbrands is about 2 dollars cheaper but has 2 dollar shipping so its near the same. You said that Dbrand took way longer to ship so I am worried. I have also heard that Dbrands quality is better but i have never tried either and i would like to try both later on but I dont know which one to start with. Any advice? Whenever i get the one i chose i will make sure to write a review.

Re: dbrand or slickwrap?

Thank you! I liked the white g3 but I like symmetry so I thought this was a good balance between the two hehe

Re: dbrand or slickwrap?

Been 13 days since I ordered my dbrand skin and screen protector(intelliarmor) for my Nexus 6P.. Still waiting for both.
I am having to still use my old phone, as they have not arrived.

Six days ago, Got email saying order was shipped from their warehouse:
Your order was released from our warehouse in Toronto this morning.
Note that due to our low shipping rate, all orders are sent via standard letter mail.
This means no tracking. Your order will arrive in a normal white envelope.
Based on your location (USA), your order is estimated to arrive in 7-14 business days.

I felt, They should atleast provide tracking. $3 is not a low shipping cost, esp when you consider how much their skin costs.
Still waiting for both the skin and screen protector to arrive.
Wondering if maybe I should have gone with slickwraps, and any other screen protector.

Hi, I made my order on October 26th and is yet to arrive... Lol. E-mail them and looks like first ship got lost, second ship still on the go... So for now, is supposed to arrive on December 8th if not, they will re-send it (third time) with tracking information and some "free stuff".

This might be helpful. I also chose Dbrand over slickwraps for my Nexus 6p. I have never had either brand. I placed my order 9 days ago and it barely shipped out of their facility today. Also note it was a basic black carbon fiber skin.

Looks Slick!

Huge Thanks!

Slickwraps

I ordered my Slickwraps skin over a week ago and still haven't received an email about shipping confirmation. I tried reaching out to customer support but, not shockingly, didn't receive any reply to my email. Also tried calling but, again to no surprise, no one was available. Also the calling is really stupid. If no one is available you tell the person to leave their email and number then hang up? Wtf? Why not just have them on hold like a normal company. Extremely unsatisfied. Never going to do business with your company again.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for slickwraps to send it to Australia? I just bought honeycomb skin for s6 edge!!!

Mine is fraying quite badly on the outer side of my Pebble Time - the side with one button. It's the best looking and appears to be excellent quality. The screen protector seems to totally eliminate a noticeable screen scratch. But when it's tearing a little bit more every day, it becomes a problem. I bought this watch just for sleep tracking because of the extraordinary battery life and it's waterproofing. After a week, I wondered how I lived without a Pebble; I loved everything about it.. (So, yes, it was roughed up quite bit during sleep.) Keep in mind, though, that pebble urges sleep tracking. A wrap should be able to handle intended use. I still love the look and feel. It's a beautiful bezel now. In time, though, it will be thoroughly torn up.

I shopped around for wraps, and Slick Wraps was full body and matched my "purple ice" band from another wrap company. And full-body! When I first put it on, it was stunning. Now, it's not. If you could tell me how to keep it solidly glued to my watch, great. If not, I will try to get it all off and start over with another one. If possible.

At this point, I don't know which path to take because I don't even know if I can get it off.

Thank you. I had a great two months with it and it really did actually turn heads. Now I try to cover the outside. (I wear my watch on the right side because I have amblyopia and did that automatically since I was a kid.)

i have just received a skin from XtremeSkins for the first time for my new MacBook Pro 13". This skin is quite simply in a class of its own in terms of quality to any I have previously owned over the years and by far and away the cheapest. I have just ordered two Skins for my Samsung S8 which I hope to receive on Wednesday. Try these guys, they are the best.
