Which carbon fiber skin is better dbrand or slickwrap?

Re: dbrand or slickwrap?

I think I've decided to go with dbrand because of the more sticky feedback, and other feedback stating that the cut is just so perfect. This matters most to me, as I do not want this stuff peeling off and need to replace it later. I prefer not to have anything on the edges of the phones so no need to get the Slickwrap ones. I actually dislike the cutout for that LG logo on the front of the dbrand ones (I see they give you the option to choose), but wouldn't get a sticker to cover that anyways because why put a sticker over the front glass? It's already super clean-looking.

Thanks for all your feedback, briannamarie.

Re: dbrand or slickwrap?

No problem! I actually put the sticker in the front with the logo sticking out bc I need to get my tempered glass screen protector renewed so I figured It's the one I most dislike therefore wouldn't mind wasting haha . when u get your skin post pics on here too!!! Dbrand is good for what you are looking for. Sticks perfectly.

Well, my biggest problem is to figure out what color I want! Green is tempting but I also think Black leather (or even White leather) might be nice. My G3 is white.

It's exactly the same 3M material.

Re: dbrand or slickwrap?

I'm not sure if this was a mistake but slickwraps just sent me another 3 carbon fiber skins and I have to say comparing their quality of carbon fiber skin to the dbrand (the carbon fiber) it is just as awesome and has that premium quality feel . I can't speak for it's stickiness YET but I'm pumped to see . it could of been the material of the leather one that just peels easier than the carbon fiber material. Again slickwraps covers more of the entire phone which deff beats dbrand there. So if you're looking for full body coverage with quality, fast shipping and great customer service, here's your answer.

I like dbrand because it offers more customization, like the ability to choose different accent colors, Different backplate color, and front color too. But I hear nothing great things about slickwraps. Too tough a decision for me :/ haha

Yea I have used dbrand before. Slickwraps has one for my mac too though that dbrands doesn't so now I am tempted in both fronts.

And dbrands facebook posts are way funnier

Re: dbrand or slickwrap?

Just as an update my phone slipped out of my sweatshirt pocket today. I have the dbrand on. My phone is scuffed. Where slickwraps usually covers dbrand does not. I'm really upset. If protection is something else that concerns you, slickwraps is your better option

Sounds like an actual case would be the best method of protection in this situation.

Did it slip because the wrap was too slippery?

The dbrand is very slippery. It has slipped out of my hands many times but this time was bc it fell out of my sweatshirt when I bent down. The whole point of using a carbon fiber is not just for style but to have at least some protector against minor drops/scuffs/scratches (to me at the least). Dbrand doesn't cover the top or edges where slick wraps does. Where it is scuffed, my prior slickwraps covered that area. Like I said if protection doesn't matter to you than its fine but slickwraps does cover more of the phone and will be more likely to protect against minor wear and still has great quality as well. Putting one of the 3 slickwraps sent to me on this afternoon. I luckily have some connections and was able to trade it in for a new phone so I'm preventing this from happening again (lol it drives me nuts). There's pros and cons to each you gotta decide based off what's best for you

Yes and your more coverage makes all the difference. Where it was scuffed was protected by the slickwraps. Harder design and needs lots of heat to make it stick but in the long run it's worth it for someone like me. Thanks again I'm gonna put one of the 3 beautiful wraps you guys sent me on later today:)
