Which email address is suitable for a Samsung account on Galaxy s7?

Dear all,

I bought a new Galaxy S7 a couple of weeks a go. I have not added a Samsung account yet which is very important if one wants to enjoy more with his or her Galaxy. However, when I want to add one through my Galaxy s7, the secondary email address pop up and I am told that I can use it to open the samsung account. Honestly, I am not sure if this is right though it comes from the gadget it self.

Which email address is appropriate? Can I use any address? What if I use the one that is currently working as a primary account in my phone, that is, a gmail address, will it work?

Yes. I use the same gmail account for my Samsung account as to the primary one on the phone. It makes things easier.
