Which is fastest/stable ginger-sense ROM?

Just finally went on back to Gingersense 3.0!! Pure awesomeness!! Especially after I used UOT (FINALLY) to change the battery indicator to a stock one. I just hate the percentage being shown. It messes with my mind! LOL

FINALLY had a chance to flash Gingersense 3.5 today. Its a pretty good ROM but I was getting quite a few FC's..and not trivial things like apps, I mean Superuser and a couple others that seemed pretty important to the overall stability.

It also had quite a bit of lag and big time battery drain though to be fair I didn't really give it a chance to settle out (I usually like to give ROMs 3 days or so to really level out)

Also my WIFI wouldn't work no matter what I did...re-boot, fix permission, and different kernel but all to no avail...no WIFI for me.

I did make a nandroid of it though so when Nils puts out an update I can just flashover it and maybe it'll get better with less lag.

Edit: Well I'm an idiot. Went back to XDA and re-read the original 3.5 thread and Nils lays out how to alleviate most of these types of problems. It'll have to wait till tomorrow though as it seems a bit involved.
I assume you mean where you need to flash to the pure GB ROM before flashing to Nils. Did this fix your battery drain issues? I love this ROM but I can pretty much watch my battery % go down. I seen it go from 71% to 58% in about 8 min. Hope it fixes it for the both of us :)

Yeah, had to reflash the stock GB ROM from Nils OP, follow the instructions and the ROM runs pretty well. I also flashed Tiny's latest kernel and then used SetCPU with it set to "performance". It was running reasonably smooth but still had some lag, nothing too bad but I missed the smoothness of Nils' 3.0 so I made a nandroid of 3.5 just to have in case I miss it too bad, then restored my 3.0

Battery life was never really one of my issues, it wasn't great don't get me wrong but not like your talking about. I'd try uninstalling FB Chat, and ES File explorer (after you install a different file manager of course). They tend to run constantly in the background.

(the suggestion to uninstall ES File Explorer is Nils' suggestion)

I missed the smoothness of Nils' 3.0

As did I!!! Now that I've got my battery icon to look like this...I'm in ROM heaven. I thought CM7.1 with HTC tones and wallpaper was it but Nils 3.0, gingertiny 10/08 and stock battery icon is, as charlie sheen would say, "Winning!" LOL

Now that I'm pretty sure I'm a Sense guy, anyone try to Ace Revolution Sense 3.0 ROM by JoelZ9614? It's based on the Desire HD.

Nope. But I've seen his name around a bunch. In fact I just downloaded his 3.5 tonight and was going to flash it tomorrow.

Trying 00McD00's Inc2 McTwist now. It's 2.1/3.0 and its nice!

Updated SU to the latest in Nils Gingersense 3.0 v2.2 and it started freaking out on me. Couldn't uninstall the updates for whatever reason and that gave me an excuse to finally upgrade to Gingersense 3.0 v2.3 with a clean install.

NICE!!

I was using 3.0 but decided to try Joelz Runnymede 3.5. So far it's been really sweet. Almost zero lag. I dont think 3.5 will ever be truly lag free for obvious reasons but this ROM is really smooth and running great. Less lag than Nils' 3.5 and I'm saying that as a huge fan of his work.

I've yet to try Runnymede. Might be worth a flash this evening though.

My SU also started acting wonky yesterday. To the point where it wouldn't allow Titanium access any more. I found a thread with a link to a list of flashable SU versions. I'll have to look for when I get home...currently on mobile.

I was able to just uninstall updates for Inc2 McTwist but no so much for Gingersense 3.0 v2.2

I think I did just that by going to menu, settings, apps, manage apps, finding super user and there was an option to uninstall the updates from there. That took me back to version 2.0 something. I then flashed version 3.0.2 I think. That's was the last version that was known to not cause problems. You could probably google it and find it. If you still need it this afternoon I'll post the link when I get home.

Not that I'm aware of...all it did was screw up all the apps that needed SU access.

Now that I'm back on one that works...I'm just gonna sit tight. LOL

Runnymede Prime 3D is a fantastic 3.5 Rom. Joel has done some great work on it. Only thing I didn't dig was the camera, so I pulled it and installed Newt's latest camera instead.
Joel's v1.2 runs smooth as silk, and he's already announced a major update due out later this week.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome.

Still debating on the camera, though I for the life of me can't figure out how to get the pictures to save to SD.

I've started to pickup some lag as the day wears on, nothing too awful...maybe my battery is getting tired (ha!) but overall its very snappy for a 3.5 ROM.

I don't think I'm buying another device that's not an HTC!!
