Which micro SD card for note 8

So apparently the note8 won't support uhs II, so at least I can save money on micro SD cards.
What are people's thoughts for SD cards? I usually only buy SanDisk (personally and professionally) but some how tempted with a Samsung 256Gb evo+.

The 256Gb Sandisk extreme is the only real other equivalent that I know of but hard to find and when I have found it, a lot more expensive.

Any ideas?

P. S. In the uk we don't get the option of a free SD card, we have to get a free Dex.

If you don't want the Dex, I can trade you the 128GB card ill be getting from Samsung.

My Galaxy S3 corrupted 2 Sandisk cards back in the day, so I switched to Samsung Evo. Ever since then, I haven't experienced any corruption, through to my Note 4. So definitely sticking with Samsung.

I've never had good luck with SanDisk. The Samsung cards are fine.

For my Samsung Note 8, I just got the Samsung EVO Plus Grade 3 Class 10 128GB MicroSDXC Memory Card.
However my phone couldn't detect it so I sent it back.
Maybe I should have tried formatting it first? (according to several reports I've read).
Did yours work straight away or did you have to format it also?
If you brought your card online, could you please share the link with me? Thanks

Does anyone know if the note 8 sd card reader supports U3? I've noticed a lot of slowdown when I'm using the gallery and gear 360 pics, and I'm thinking a faster reader might help.

Had to best buy before they sell out... The 128gb fast u3 cards are only $39 today! I bought 3, and there is a huge performance boost over using a U1 card.
