As everyone is probably aware noe, our xz2 sd card is limited to 18 mb/s write speed

https://www.valuewalk.com/2018/05/low-sd-card-speed-sony-xperia-xz2/

For me, i find it affects me more when playing music, whether im using stock Sony Music or Google play music

When i start either app, the album art takes about 2 secs to appear, but whats worse is when i select an album, the page is blank for about 2 secs until it "loads in / caches" and i can play it..

However, if i close and re-open the app later, it does the same again...as if i have wiped it and it has to re-cache..

So.. is anyone else finding this . I thought it would be a good idea to share our sd cards as i know sd cards are not the same and some may suit the xz2 better. So, which sd card are you using..

I use Samsung Evo 64gb 95mb/s... And its rubbish in the xz2

Hi. Are you absolutely certain that you have a real Samsung sd? Have you tested the r/w speeds on PC. I have bought Samsung cards off Amazon (fulfilled by Amazon), and I always feel that I need to scrutinize the heck out of them. The counterfeit cards are a lot slower. But then again, it could be the Sony that is limiting the speed.
Just a thought.

I understand what your saying friend, ive been burned before from both Amazon and ebay and, even if i have to pay an extra £10, ill alway buy sd cards from the high street...

So, yeah its fine, i bought it from Argos UK and ive checked it on my pc... Its pretty fast.
