Which size

No I just say what you say and it's a valid point I just don't like Best Buy's policy where I would have to fully return the phone order the newer phone and go back to my old phone which sucks. And I'm also trying to think as well what's the disadvantage of deleting the local pictures on my phone once your backup in Google photos? I can always look at them and redownload it when I need to..

You can order one separately and return your 32gb after you receive it.

To my understandings, I have to completely return the current 32 gig phone and back to my Nexus 6 then order the other one and wait about 5 days. . Just doesn't seem worth it to me. I also don't play massive games on my phone either.

This is completely anecdotal, however after the infamous "bendgate, I was wary of getting a 6P. On xda for example there were users reporting various issues with build quality (slight bending, cracked camera panels, etc) and issues with bluetooth connectivity. I noticed that many of the issues was with 32 and 64 GB models. I asked if anyone with 128 GB experienced any issues what so ever and the response was no. Additionally the resale value on the 128 GB model is pretty good according to swappa. So I got the 128. the is my first Nexus smartphone and I doubt I'm ever going back. Pure Android is the best Android.

(FYI- resale value is important just in case I decide to upgrade to the next Nexus flagship)

I used a 16GB Windows Phone 7 and Microsoft claimed it's enough because of Cloud Space so I tried out Music Streaming and was somewhat ok with the space but always needed to delete pictures, etc. then I bought the Lumia 925 with 32GB and thanks to Music Streaming was enough but I mostly loaded it with 100s Apps I never tried out. So I now ordered a 64GB Android Phone and somehow not happy that it doesn't include a microSD Slot but on the other hand I think if 32GB was fine for me then 64GB will be nice for me :) I still need to find out if with Android such space will be fine for me but would think it will :)
If it really won't do for me I still could fill a USB flash with Music, etc. and plug it on the phone via USB OTG.
Otherwise I usually always prefer to buy the highest version and most expensive version of things but with space and cloud space / music streaming / Music taking most of my space I would say 32GB would be enough and 64GB would be my safe side but if 128GB would not cost soooo much more I would use this or buy a 32GB phone with a microSD Slot.

But on the other hand I read that when you buy the Xiaomi Mi5 for example then the 32GB has lower CPU frequencies than the 64GB Version which sounds crazy to me but also it might be a very raw thing a manufacturer would do.
