Many Thanks!
Not sure, but why not play it safe and get a 18w charger? They seem to be only $19 anyway still a little cheaper.

Either one will be fine the Pixel will only take in what it can handle. Also the chargers are designed to only output what the device can handle too.

I use the same charger for my Pixel 3, my Chromebook, and my Kindle. I think the charger is 60 watts but I can't read the fine print. I think any charger will either work, not work, or work slowly but none are dangerous.

Anything other than plain old 5 Volt charging (the phone draws what it needs) is negotiated between the phone and charger to decide what the maximum charge can be for fast charging. The fail-safe mode for chargers is 5 Volts. So an 1800 Watt fast charger (if there were such a thing) would be just as safe for a P4 as an 18 Watt charger is.

1. Volts and watts are two entirely different things. Sure, all chargers (for the most part) put out 5 volts, but how quickly they can deliver that power is determined by the max watts rating.

2. Chargers include sophisticated circuitry to ensure that power is delivered at the correct level. Poorly made chargers can (and have) blow up your phone's battery, start fires, or simply short out your device turning it into an expensive brick.

Not that this necessarily declares them all safe but I am using the first one (RAVpower 61w) right now for my phone and tablet. I've only had it for a few days. I don't notice anything wrong. Charges rapidly.

I also bought a RAVpower GaN 61 watt single port charger on my Dell laptop and Pixel. It's crazy how small it is given what it can do. I toss it in my bag with a type-C cable.

As others have said, they regulate their delivery of power based on the device you use.

I would say if you are only going to charge your phone, don't pay the premium for 61w or even 30w. You could also check Anker's similar products. They are probably close in price, maybe one has a discount.
