Whitestone Dome Pre-orders S10 Phones

I ordered a 2 Whitestone Dome protectors on 2/23 and have had no movement. I put in a cancel request and will order from Amazon. If it doesn't cancel in 24 hours I am filing a dispute with Paypal. Their customer service is garbage at Whitestone but the protectors are very nice.

I ordered one from Whitestone and ordered one through Amazon (It was in stock through Amazon Prime and was going to come before my phone arrived). My whitestone one came a week in a half after the Amazon one.

Glad I ordered two because I chiped my frist one tonight (fell between my car seat). Glad I have an extra one. Putting it on tomorrow. By the way if you chip yours. Before taking it off make sure you search Google on how to remove it. I learned the hard way.

It does work, it does protect you phone as I learned tonight.

I think I'll stick with the Sammy installed screen protector. They're now on sale at Samsung (2 pack/$19.99).

Installed my Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector today. I can say I am not impressed with the fingerprint reader.

After installation, it would not read my fingerprint at all so I deleted them to start over. Made sure that the screen sensitivity was on and OMG, it takes a 100+ tries to get it to register part of the print. It continues to say cover the entire sensor or press harder. Finally get it to scan enough times and then it won't unlock the phone anyway.

The Samsung one was way better but scratched to easily.

I'll give it a few days for the glue to set up and see if it gets better. If not, I'll uninstall it and try again. If that doesn't work then I'll just go with no screen protector.

This is exactly why my Whitestone Dome has been sitting here collecting dust for the past couple of weeks. I'll roll with the factory plastic for as long as I can.

Sorry to hear this. :(

I had to clean off and reinstall mine, on the second install I carefully did the 15 second quick cure then 1 minute (I think I did minute and a half) press on the fingerprint reader location.

Night and day difference between the first install and second install, I'm at 90+% success rate even with light touches now. Was not too happy on the first install, but the second install is working so well that I'm okay with recommending the whitestone dome... But the install is way trickier.

Ps I held the fingerprint location while still in the installation jig

Looks like I'll have to try that. Just don't want to break the protector in the process.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I had to pull it off since one of my cases caused some lifting. Worth it though to get the fingerprint reader working correctly

How would you compare this to the factory plastic?

I installed my Whitestone Dome today on my S10+. This is not the first time I have installed one. It looks flawless. However, it WILL NOT read my fingerprints. At. All. Like not even once when trying to add. Should I wait until it is fully cured and dried? I'm afraid to remove it and try again. Do you just peel it off from a corner and hope it doesn't crack? Will there be dried glue on the glass that has to come off somehow?

Did you do the finger press on the reader location prior to full cure? I did it the first time but probably didn't do it long enough. Second time went over a minute and adding/unlocking is flawless now. Once in a while a no read unlock but so much better than my first install

Yes, for a little over a minute. I'm having a bit more luck now though. I kept trying and trying and finally got four fingers saved. I think maybe you need to wait a bit after curing. It wasn't easy to register though but it seems to be working now. Works to unlock and also with Samsung Pay.

So, my advice if it's not working, be patient, wait a bit after curing, and just keep pressing. I did find though, when it would say to press harder, don't. I eased up on how hard I was pressing my finger down and it went easier.

They have on the ad following the video there is no cutout for the camera.

So I can report after a week of using the fingerprint sensitivity is much improved with less adhesive in between the glass and screen. I truly think it makes a difference.
