I looked at vzw's website and they have the new style and its labeled with 1930mah but if you go to amazon, they have the old one and its labeled at 1830 mah. Battery technology has gotten better so I wouldn't doubt that t would have more power.

Amazon's product information is usually incorrect to some degree.

I have had this extended battery for 5 months now, so it is NOT a new battery. It is the battery sold from VZW online and it offers 1880/1930 mAh. The amperage of the battery is presented as a range and NOT a definitive amount.

I can find posts online as far back as August of 2010 stating that the Motorola Extended Battery is specifically “1880/1930 mAh”, even though various websites were and are still defining it as anything from 1800 mAh to 1940 mAh.

It’s been the same battery the entire time, the information websites have posted on it has changed, nothing else.

I usually read the description on Amazon and they are usually copied from the manufacturer's website. But doesn't mean they can't make a mistake. Either way, I love my extended battery and the extra juice it gives me.

I notice a difference but its minor. I thought id be able to rock a full day out of it without a little refresh in the afternoon but that's not the case most days.

I use the Seidio 1750mAh battery and am happy with it. I've had it for a while so haven't monitored it recently, but not too long ago I know I was getting 14-16+ hours on a charge. This was with normal use for me. No voice calls, plenty of SMS & MMS, lots of Twitter & Facebook, looking things up online, using it as a calendar, to-do list, note pad, Task list, and lots of 'advanced' features as well. I also have my background data set pretty aggressively. Weather updates every 15 or 30 minutes, Twitter and Facebook update every 15, etc. Use the camera a lot, use the LED as a flashlight, and on and on. All that taken into consideration, I would consider my use 'above average', and am happy with 14hrs.

Also, one of the best things I have done to combat 'gotta go my cell phone is dying', is not having bought an extended battery, but having bought a SECOND battery(tho pretty nice having an extended too!). If you have a 2nd, spare battery, keep it charged and with you, most people won't get into a situation where they are without their phone. I depend on my phones for so much, I can't have it die on me. All my appointments are kept within, every bit of info I need to remember, I use it for college extensively-University email, store my documents on it, edit them with Docs To Go, get them and turn them in via FTP, dropbox, blah blah blah. Anyway, so I depend on having my phone available all the time, without exception. I actually have 3 batteries, and if I know I am going to be gone long time, I'll grab a spare or two(I keep both in my computer bag which is usually with me anyway).

Besides for having 3 batteries, I also have many many charger that I have amassed over the years. If you don't some pretty inexpensive ones can be found on Amazon. I think I bought 5 Motorola OEM car chargers for about 1 dollar each. I make sure to usually have a charger or two wherever I go- car charger, wall charger, usb cord, etc. Nice to be able to throw your phone on a charger for 10 or 15 minutes when it's down to 50% or so. Let's face it, even with an extended battery it is pretty easy to get it to drop fast if you need to use it extensively over a short period. Anyway, I've gotten off on a tangent here, so I will digress! A spare battery and a few extra chargers can go a long way. I haven't had my phone die in over a year and everyone else could do the same too. A lot of the time when people talk about extended batteries, they forget that they will now have 2 batteries rather than one, and having a spare, extended or not, can be very helpful!

Just to clear up what could be confusion: I am not talking about 12 hours in between charges (usage and standby time), I am talking about 12 hours of total usage; 2G time, 3G time, multimedia time, split up through 12 hours. I just don?t see how it is possible for ANYONE to use their phone for more than that everyday, seriously if you do then you need to cut the cord and get a life. 12 hours of usage lasts me about three days on ONE charge (4 hours of use per day) with the BH6X.

If you are only getting about 14-16 total hours of usage and standby time with the Seidio, then you need to get a BH6X and/or change the settings on your phone. I know for a fact you aren?t getting 14-16 hours of usage out of that battery, it would have to be at least 50% larger than it is.

If you can?t get about 12 hours of accumulated use time out of the BH6X, then you are doing something wrong.

On a low usage day, I get about 14 hours out of it. On a high usage day, I get about 9-10 hours out of it. When I mean high usage, I mean movies, music, youtube downloading, web browsing, a lot of SMS.

I have had the Seidio 2600mAh battery for about a year now and have been very disappointed with it's performance. However, this week I think I learned that this battery is tricking the DX battery meter. I determined to kill the battery so I let run down until the battery meter said there was only 5% left. I proceeded to turn on blue tooth, Satellite and 3G and go to YouTube and watch music videos so I am using as much resource I can. I watched music video for an hour and it's still going strong. I finally had to go to sleep. So it appears to me the battery meter doesn't know what to do with the 2600mAh battery. Has anybody else had this experience?
