Does the update from Kies have Note 3 features?

I'm sure the big question is about air command. If its on your version then you will have to go into spen settings and turn it on. Then if you hover the pen over the screen and push the button a palette with pen options will open.

Signed onto Kies this morning and it was there for download. I have an old desktop so it took about 20 minutes for the whole process. Liking what I'm seeing so far..especially the ability to move some of the apps to the sd card.

The update I downloaded from the XDA site yesterday has none of the Note 3 features such as Air Command, new scrapbook, new lockscreen widgets, etc. 4.3 instead of 4.1 is a very good improvement but, I would have like to have seen the improved software on the Note 3. Too close to the Note 3 launch apparently. Well, at least we will be able to spend $300 for a watch.

S Pen behavior looks to be the same as before the update. I do not see the Air Command wheel appear with the pen hovering over the screen while pressing the button.

I do not think Samsung is going to give away all cool the features of the Note 3 on the Note 2. Otherwise only a handful of people would buy a Note 3 and most would keep the Note 2.

I have read the same thing about spen. But go on youtube and search "air command on note 2" everything that note 3 has works on note 2

Woohooo updated through kies and I'm now on 4.3I! So far I really like it, looks good and the features I've noticed are definitely upgrades. I really like app to SD feature. It's about time they added that.

They took the pen from original Note and was able to make it do everything with the Note 3 software. Ofcourse it was much slower but the bright side is our Note 2 can receive and work air command and other software loaded in the Note 3. Sweet!!!

Just letting anyone know.I work at Best Buy and some of our stores have"Samsung experience stores" in them they received the 4.3 software yesterday. So they updated my phone took less then five minutes. All you have to do is go into the store and say. Can you do a software update on my phone.

Well, just updated to 4.3 via Kies, FINALLY. I just wanna say for an old fart, 64, I think I'm sort of middle of the road in tech savvy but that was the most f****d up update I have ever done in the twenty years I've been involved with computers. Samsung needs to take Kies and stick it where the sun don't shine. I could go on but I won't bore you all with any more of this "Perils of Pauline" tragedy. :'( Good luck to future upgraders!
