The Droid branded one they have in Verizon stores. I know there are cheaper options out there but it was only $40 so I just went for it.

Picked up a Samsung S4 Qi charger a few weeks ago and works great. There was a 50% off deal from Samsung so got it for $30 shipped. Any Qi charger will work, but they are a little pricey as most don't include the charger and the ones I've seen require a 2.0 amp charger.

I got my maxx today when activated it had a 53% charge after 7 hours of moderate use (battery saver not active): set up, downloading apps, listening to google play music for an hour (radio), customizing folders, talking for ~30-45min,using the chrome browser to research/ price shop ~2 hours (straight screen not off), sending and receiving a few text messages. At this exact moment it reads 33%. If I math right, i'm getting 20% battery drain per 7 hours = 35 hours for full charge theoretically with this type of usage.
I was traveling yesterday but there was a corporate store right across the street from my hotel. I walked in at 9:05 am (5 minutes after open) and was upgraded to the Maxx and out the door at 9:35 am. I can't say anything about battery life yet because I didn't fully set up the phone until I arrived home last night.
I just need it to get me through a day without charging.
I didn't ask about stock. I really didn't care. They were just finishing up the setup of the display phones when I walked in.
The camera will take some getting used to. It's easy to take blurry photos.
Verizon needs to retire the dumb DROID sound and the terrible boot animation. The fake robot stuff was too old two years ago.
I just need it to get me through a day without charging.

Sorry for the noob question, but what's the benefit of the Qi charger? I would expect it isn't as fast as a regular charger, and merely saves you the step of plugging the device into the charger?

Got mine yesterday, contacts and ringtones moved over easily. I love the speed, I had a Droid X, this is so much faster!!

Coming from an HTC DNA using wireless charging for a couple of months, Yes it charges much slower than a typical USB cord. But I've never woken up and it not been fully charged (I use it every night)
Anyone coming from a Razr Maxx? Just want to get an idea of how much bigger the Droid Maxx is.

Got mine via FedEx yesterday. A few impressions after 12 hours or so of use:
1. The screen is much better than I thought it would be. Bright, clear, very high quality. It appears similar to my Note 2.
2. Holy cow the speaker rocks. Very loud and quality sound.
3. The camera is...average. Some pictures come out good and others not so much.
4. Voice control is really cool. I'm coming up with different uses as time goes by. It's awesome in the car while driving.
5. Phone reception and wifi appear strong but I need to go to more places to accurately compare from previous devices.

I've been using it all morning so ive opened quite a few apps.
Also dashclock battery extensions is listing 2 days and 6 hours of battery life remaining.
