Who here has stuck/dead pixels on their new HTC One?

Daaaaaaamn that sucks....how do yall go about fixing those?

When I pick mines up tomorrow I just gone put it back in the box, throw in a paper clip, and mail it to MacGyver. I'll have it back by Monday at the latest. Then I'll pay Chuck Norris to take out Mr. Chou for poor quality control.

Not to sound like a tech noob, but what causes it? Does it happen fresh from the box? Or is it after using it for some time?

Picked mine up this morning. No gaps, no stuck pixels, no dead pixels, and no roughness on the side of case. Just a perfect phone here.

We to at&t today and they swapped my phone no questions asked.

My HTC one had dead pixels too I saw it on the first night I had it. then I went to att and exchanged it for another one and that had them too. then I went to best buy and look to see if the display phones had the same dead pixels on the black screen and they did so they all probally have this problem so there is no point exchanging it for another one if it bothers u that much just return it because the one u exchange it for will probally have that same problem they all have this problem or at least most of them

Picked my phone up from AT&T yesterday and no dead pixels here.

My Sprint HTC One has 4 stuck pixels (one of them being much brighter and more noticeable than the others).

For those that are not seeing any stuck pixels, are you using an app similar to "Dead Pixel Test"? Showing an all black screen on max brightness will make the stuck pixels fairly easy to identify.

Issues with my HTC One haha. It was around 8 when I left and around 11 when I noticed it. :/ I hope AT&T would make it easy and wouldn't look at my odd because there is a small pixel dead. I want it to be nice! I feel as if I am on the phone at the same time I am messing with stuff on my phone, it will wear down faster. So it is off for now and resting haha. I have been an iPhone user for more than 5 years, and Android definitely made me fall in love. So you might see me asking questions and opening threads. A nice phone and people say they have the best quality phones out there so I hope they do somewhat of a recall or something if someone has dead pixels. I wouldn't want to have a dead pixel and they see it as non-returnable in the future. I have only had iPhones and their warranty is the best. I hope AT&T stands by their carrier phones like Apple does to their own phones.

I will update if anything else worsens. I see it a lot in iPhones when they are released, so it isn't really rare!

EDIT!

Did anyone notice their battery either? All day, it has been stuck at 87 and 88. I turned it off to see if it will charge fully. I had it charging all day but also been using it a lot.

You can get dead pixels with any phone. I don't have any thank god. If you have any just get a replacement.

I had a group of three puddles that would act up as the screen got warm. I walked into a different corp store and the replaced it no questions asked.

Though dead pixels can happen on pretty much any phone, I've had worse luck with HTC phones in the past. All three thunderbolts and two One X phones I owned had them as well as other various defects. Was hoping this phone would have better quality control but every single store unit I played with yesterday had a noticeable defect. Scared me away from buying it.

Yes, I used Dead Pixel Test to confirm and no dead pixels. However I have had dead pixels on monitors, tablets, phones, etc. in the past so it's pretty common. Just take it back for another one.

Yea.. Will most likely try to get an exchange at a Sprint store tomorrow. I'm just worried that I'll get a phone with MORE stuck pixels or additional problems. If this is the case, I may just return the phone altogether and wait a few months before getting the phone again. There's also the question of whether or not Sprint will do an exchange for such a seemingly small issue!
