You can still track them through the Battery information built into Android I believe. I know you can on a manual reboot anyways.

Not with whatever happened... Both GSam and stock battery monitors started over. First time I've had a random reboot (even with the razr and bionic). Happened when I returned from lunch, pulled the phone out of my pocket, and tried to unlock from active display. Maybe it was a bad time as it was switching from 4g to wifi :-\

Bobby, sounds like your numbers are getting better, but if they don't improve overall I would exchange it now. Chances of getting another bad battery, I think, would be small. I did a recent test of no screen with all other services running and my battery drained one percent per hour. With normal use I drain about three percent per hour.

Haha....Anything is better than what I was getting with my razr (original). This was 3 days before I picked up the Maxx:



That was just horrible... I'm just now getting to the point where I'm not frantically looking for a place to charge when I see 70% left!

yeah my wifes razr M is better than that and actually she was getting better battery life than this MAXX that I'm returning. I asked her last night what % she was at.. she said 73% and she unplugged at 3:30am.. i was at like 40% at the time i think... This was the last straw for me. hahaha.

Depends on usage as usual but I would most likely be on the same page as you. Haha

Google+ was killing my battery. Once I disabled it, I get great battery life. Make sure you are not using Google+.

I'll give it a try. I just disabled Google+

No, the Rezound was worse than that! Haha. So glad it now sits as a backup in case I ever have to wait for a phone from insurance.

After the random reboot I decided to toss it on the charger and see just how long it would last from a full charge. I left it streaming live HD cable with the twc app (4h45m), watched the nc state v clemson (~2h45m) football game through the watchespn app, talked on the phone for 36 minutes, and sent over 100 texts. I noticed the TWC app sucked a lot more power than watchespn did, and here are the results:



I had to wait a bit for dropbox to upload the pictures, but it's been charging since 11:30 and is @18%.... Gsam estimates 2 hours to full. Pretty impressive IMO. Anyway, I thought I'd share for anyone out there who was curious.


FWIW, the phone is only 8 days old and has been through 3-4 charges.

Anyone looking at his 7 hours of screen time remember he is on WiFi. That's excellent but don't expect 4G to reach 7 hours. You'll get very close to his numbers though.

I forgot to point that out - Normally, there's no way in hell I would use 6GB+ for video streaming on 4G (I imagine most people wouldn't). Data is usually too precious for that :-$. However, I'll give it a shot today as I have 11GB of data left this cycle and I know for a fact I will not be using all of it over the next 10 days. I'll burn through 6 max over 4G and post the results later this afternoon.

I use a ton of data at work watching video and listening to music but I have the ability to do so.
