Who is returning and why?

Hope they can find the right balance between tough and scratch resistant screen . Without any screen protector on my screens would be easy scratch as I can already see it on film type Samsung supplied .

Not only do they need to find that balance. The price differential is crazy. I have never had any visually detectable scratches on any of my curved screen Galaxy devices. The GS10+ is my first with screen protection and only because it's OEM. I'm thinking of removing it as my Defender case appears to be causing bubbling at the top corners and on the left side of the screen. I always keep my curved Galaxy devices facing in with nothing else in my left pocket even though I am right hand dominant. My wife on the other hand just dumps her GS9+ in her purse. For her, Samsung needs to have an Active variant.

But the back doesn't....makes sense to me even if it doesn't to you.

Help me understand, then.

You'd still have a cracked screen. And the screen is the crux of the whole thing, no?

I use a very slim case that covers the back and the sides. It's pretty much invisible.

I guess it's just me. But returning this phone for almost anything else would seem like such a downgrade, except maybe the Note 9.

In my field of work I can easily destroy a screen or very easily scratch it ,that's why I need mine protected all the time .

I don't know how else to explain that I prefer a more durable backed phone. Case or no case I've seen some badly damaged phones front or back and sometimes both. I was never a fan of glass backed phones for the sake of wireless charging. I would always pick plastic or ceramic over glass. If I had a choice of a more durable screen I'd welcome it that other then the solution offered by Moto. Again, it's my preference and it works for me.

How hard was it to apply on your other phones?

Very easy , my first time watched few YouTube videos before I installed them , follow the directions and had no issues with cases or bubble free installation.

I've been waiting for a major branded Ceramic backed phone to come out for a while. Now all we need is a screen just as tough.
I don't think I'd want anything heavier than the glass phone. That's the only thing that kept me away from the ceramic. I love the looks though.

I don't find it that heavy, but that's my take on it. I can't compare it side by side with another S10+ at the moment, but comparing it to my Pixel 3XL it feels about the same.

I definitely would have loved the ceramic back, but was not willing to pay the extra premium of having to buy the 512 GB for the ceramic. Definitely would have gone with ceramic if it was on the base model. Given that I'm going to change phone every few months doesn't make sense spending anything other than base model for me, especially with base model offering reasonable 128 GB storage

Hoping in future versions ceramic becomes more mainstream and comes in the base model.

Well I was fortunate to get a 512 for 1100 and no tax so it was painless.

It's definitely not nonsense. It happened to me, and the item I was "returning" was defective. It was a laptop. They allowed me to return it but then banned me from returns for a year. Worse, they work through a company similar to a credit bureau that other retailers also work with, so I was banned from returns at numerous other retailers. I appealed due to the fact that the item was defective and it wasn't just a random return, and they undid it. But it took a lot of time and a written snail mail appeal.

Keep in mind that this was after not one, but several returns. On the other hand, I but a ton of things from them.
What? This is nonsense. Lol
