Who is sticking with their Evo instead of upgrading to Evo 3d?

Hey everyone I love my Htc Evo, and am curious about the Evo 3d...I had to upgrade my girlfriend's phone so I can't upgrade to the 3d now. I was just curious as to how many people are just going to stick with the original Evo and are happy with it.

I got my EVO only a week or so after launch and I am still very happy with it. I think that rooting and running different ROMs has held my interest and need to tweak. I will likely stay with my EVO for a little while after the EVO 3D comes out (even though I'm Sprint Gold status). I want to see what impressions are on speed, battery life, and the usefulness of the 3D before I drop some coin on a new phone.

That and I'm likely to root it after I get bored with Ginger Sense, so it would have to be worth it if all I'm getting is the same user experience.

My EVO has been a sold performer for the last 10 months and I am very happy with it. The EVO 3D looks promising, and the new HW is enticing. However, it's coming with a whole new platform of SW and 3D functionality. Until I know for sure all of this is working and delivering a solid, usable device, I will stick with my EVO. I'll be reading the EVO 3D forums like a hawk, though, looking to see what's working and what's not. Once it's all smoothed out I'll have to reassess what's out there and then make a decision. Hopefully there will be some more table options hitting soon as well. I wouldn't mind sticking with my EVO and having a tablet along side. We'll see...

I love the EVO, but I'm going to the 3D when its available. I just like to have the latest gadget. Not because original is lacking in any way.

Sticking with my EVO. I haven't rooted yet and I am thinking about doing that to carry me over until next year. But, even if I don't root, I'm happy with what I have now. Best phone I ever purchased. I don't want to be impulsive ever again when buying my next phone. 3D doesn't interest me as much as the dual core processor but even then, I'm not going to upgrade

No choice but to stick with the original. I won't be eligible for an upgrade until late 2012, and I can't afford to just buy one outright. Besides, I imagine by the time that I AM eligible for an upgrade, there will be devices far superior available. We'll just wait and see...

I've had mine since launch date and I am still very much happy with mine (even with the small problems i've had) I cant see enough changes in the 3d to make me want to change at this point.

As of today, I am going to the Samsung Galaxy S2 or whatever Sprint decides to call it. That might change tomorrow because it seems like new phones are being announced daily.

I'm a little tired of the battery life issues I've had with my Evo but the 3D isn't really enticing to me. I really have no interest in watching a 3D movie in a theatre, much less on my phone. So, to answer your question, I guess I'm sticking with my original, though I am not really sure what to do.

Sticking with my EVO only because the wife has an upgrade here soon and I'm going to talk her into leaving the BlackBerry for Android. :D

Im debating this as well.....I love my EVO to much to let it go lol. Plus I had a sprint employee tell me that the EVO 3D was not that good compard to the original EVO. Its just a new phone in the EVO Series line of phones. He said when the real EVO 2 comes out then that will be a phone to get!

Not my words...the sprint employee words!

I'm a Sprint Gold status customer and got my EVO on day 1 (June 4). I could probably sell my EVO for close to what the upgrade would cost me. But, I'm sticking with it. I'll look at the 3D when it comes out, but it needs to be a big leap ahead for me. Otherwise, I might wait until early next year when the Ice cream sandwich spec'ed phones come out.

I'm also interested in a Google phone, but the Galaxy S 4G is single core and doesn't take an SD card, so I'll wait on that, too.

Thanks guys..

I am glad that most of you are sticking with the Evo that is what I will do as well, I am just wondering if anyone knows a good rom with htc sense 2.1 and gingerbread that is stable?

Like others, I lost my premeir status and can't get the full upgrade till next year. The 3d just dosen't appeal to me, though I do like the new sense. So I'll be sticking with my Evo until something else better comes along.

Now that the 4G has Netflix.... I'll be staying with it
Till the end of my contract next year,
unless it breaks?

I love my EVO. I've had the iphone, bb storm, g1, and others and it is the best phone I have bought. I haven't rooted it because with running launcher pro I get just enough customization to keep me occupied. If I get bored I just change things up.
