Who switched from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy S6/S6 Edge

I've had 5 iphones and so had the OL. I got a Samsung and she fought me about leaving Apple.
you need to get used to the Android operating system. Best Buy has the Samsung people there to help you. And they have free classes on how to operate the Samsung phone.
Since I got the OL to the Samsung and she has learned to operate it. She loves the phone. She especially likes the bigger screen over the Iphone 5S.
And she likes the Back Button.
She still has her Iphone 5S and will get in wi fi and try to play with it.
She says I've about forgot how to use the Iphone. Its harder to use.

I was at the phone store and asked everybody there if they had a Iphone.,
They said NO. I iphone is a Block phone, Restricts you to too much.
A Samsung is more like a computer. Gives you more freedom .

We will not go back to Apple phones.

This thread is interesting. First there is a comment about IOS not having any ability to customize. Well I read an article recently where Tim Cook said user's don't want the ability to customize.

Second a user was saying Android hasn't evolved. Well can I ask if he has? Android has pushed many things since his S3 that he now sees adopted on IOS. Very rarely has it been the other way around.

Android is about the consumer being in control. IOS is about Apple being in control and the user, well just live with it (think communism/socialist). Apple is for people who can't think for themselves.

Sorry for the rant...

Go to the phone stores. Ask the sales people which phone they have. If they are a new sales person they might have a Iphone.
But if they have been there for a while, you can be guaranteed they don't have a Iphone.

I'm a spoiled brat, I have both an iPhone 6 plus and S6 Edge. :)

I just recently switched from iPhone 5S to GS6, so I'm still getting used to the different features from both a hardware and OS viewpoint. I was pretty blown away by how well the Samsung Smart Switch process worked. Seemed to transfer everything over smoothly!

The things I immediately missed were the built-in iOS podcast app and getting used to the different notification / control menus. Just barely scratching the surface in terms of all the customization options.

Have run into issues with transferring files to and from my MacBook Pro via bluetooth and USB, but it seems like the AirDroid app is the way to go with file transfer.

I'm also an Apple Music subscriber, and the Android app design is lacking, which I sort of expected might be the case, but I'm still happy with it.

I used to use cheap Android phones, just got an iPhone 5s today, and within the first few hours realized it wasn't going to work out and I felt so. damn. stupid.

Basically, one of my number 1 important reasons for having a smart phone at all as opposed to a flip phone is that I need to answer e-mails from casting agencies as soon as they come in so that I can get acting gigs. On all the android phones I was able to easily make it so that every time I get an e-mail, it makes a loud enough sound that I notice I have an e-mail, even if my phone's in the purse and there's a lot of background noise (this is NYC we're talking about). On the last phone, I had it making Zelda noises when a new e-mail came in.

I kind of wanted to cry when I saw how crappy the e-mail functions are on the iPhone for what I need it to do. I don't like the apple mail app because it doesn't filter all the crap out. I need loud notifications for the priority inbox *and only the priority inbox*. Also I can't use Zedge, which is really disappointing. I downloaded a bunch of games for android that are already paid for that I can't use on the iPhone.

I've only had it working for a few hours and already want to go back to Android, but I LOVE the aesthetics of the iPhone. I feel like a bad person somehow. Like what kind of spoiled brat gets an iPhone and then is like, nah, I miss my old cheap phone that more or less did the one thing I needed it to do...

Me too...or I will have both, eventually. I've been an iPhone user forever but I'm curious about Android. I had a Note 5 briefly that I didn't really keep long enough to give it a proper test, so I'm buying an S6 from a member cheaply enough not to be hurt financially if I decide Android just isn't for me. If I really like it over iOS, I might pony up for a Note 7 or something!
