Who thinks the Rezound will get ICS Friday?

Droid life just announced that the Razr soak test starts tomorrow and its not an update to ICS. That said, not looking good for the Rezound. Guess the best buy leak is a fake.

Wow well let's just remember that their update is unrelated to ours. That being said though, I guess Friday is just any other day. I will think we will get it before them though if they are still messing with gingerbread.

I guess I will investigate more into rooting and downloading the leak now...

Personally my phone is running great with gingerbread. I honestly could care less about ICS. I just see a bunch of problems. It happened to my ole incredible when we went from froyo to gingerbread. I say leave well enough alone. Just my cheap two cents.

not intentionally, but, I probably have (after reading the description of bump charging).

The battery drain issue (according some posts on xda) appear to be the result of the cpu running full throttle all the time. Battery life is better, running cdma only. Battery behaviour, seems to all over the board, at times, it seems better, and, at other times, seems to drain much quicker.

ICS is great, except for the battery drain issue.y

I would not mind waiting for ICS 4.0.4, as, it sounds to be a real improvement over 4.0.3.

As with anything, experience varies across the board. For every complaint about batteries by one person, there's another guy posting how his battery is now miraculously cured. It's all based on what you have running on your phone and how you have it set up for power conservation in device settings. I haven't had any battery issues since I rooted and ICS has only made it better.

Normally I'd agree with you but the 4.0.3 leak is in such good shape, it really just boils down to picking a release date. I think it's just a matter of time really. Sensation XE soak ended early and released ahead of schedule. It's the overseas Rezound so I think you'll see it sooner than later.

Then they still have to recompile the CDMA version and release it here. Lord knows we'll probably have some option(s) left over from the GSM version.

Good points, and I hope you are on to something. I just know when Verizon gets their grimy hands on it, they'll need to spend a month or two optimizing the battery drainers and thoroughly hiding the system bugs before releasing it.

Just talked to HTC customer service. I ask abt ics for Rezound. He took a moment to check and "that one we're still working on, no release date yet"

Someone leaked an image from Best buy that had the RAZR and Rezound listed for updates. Everyone's been stuck on that image being legit despite all evidence to the contrary. Fuggedaboudit

this reminds me that the thunderbolt had many gb rumors there were, rumors of release came and went several times before gb was actually released. guess only time will tell. it would certainly be nice to have ics, but ONLY if it ran well. i'm not in any hurry to get ics.

The latest ICS leak runs very well. So ICS on the Rezound should be darn near perfect.
