I live in an area with excellent LTE coverage. It's difficult deciding whether I want a pure android experience with no contract but lose LTE at the same time.

I came from a droid razr with lte coveragw in my town getting about 12-20mbps on lte but with the battery drain of lte i barely used it also the price of verizon u couldnt stand. Also if u have wifi at home or work that makes it easier. For me I get 2-5mbps on hspa+ which is usually around 3/5 bars ln my phone all through my hometown which is plenty fast enough for Facebook browsing flipboard and all that.in the Seattle area where I travel to a lot I get 6-10mbps on hspa+. I have Wi-Fi at home for if I want to download songs or something so to me LTE is not worth the $70 price difference between verizon and straight talk.

Doesn't look like there will be a CDMA one at all

Woot! The poll results just said it. No LTE doesn't matter to me. I'm in for that wonderful new nexus. Just for the new innovations on android 4.2, I'm already sold at $349!

I still don't understand how ppl are complaining about no SD card which was expected and no lte. U are paying for a kia and getting a ferrari

I sat down with my other half today and explained to her the savings available to us for going to ST or T-Mo prepaid. She was blown away at how much we are paying and is totally down with me copping the Nexus 4 16GB. Feels good man.

I did the same thing last night with my wife. Even factoring in the cost of buying two of these phones outright we are looking to save almost $1000 over two years vs sticking with Sprint. And the really nice part is we will finally be able to actually use our phones for more than just calls without having to be on a WiFi network.

Jeez, that's not fair. They shouldn't isolate to just a limited carrier. They should expand to many carrier. Especially with the price.

About 90% of the world is GSM, or was this a joke?

I think I'm gonna get one and try it out with a pre-paid plan. $299/$349 unlocked?!? Are you kidding me? I was really looking forward to Sprint's Network Vision (especially since they are getting ready to turn on 4G here in the DC area) and have been happy with them overall as a carrier, despite the horrid 3G performance. However, I am sick of being on the mouse-wheel of contracts, OEM/carrier meddling, and device lock-in. HSPA+ speeds and great battery life sound just fine to me. The Nexus 4 may just be the device to set me free.

I know, the complainers are complaining but I feel that Google has brought an excellent value in their Nexus 4 product today.

So, let's hear it; are you getting one? Why? Why not?

I'm currently locked into a corporate plan with a HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon, so the only reason I might not is so I don't incur an ETF for my company (they've offered to pay it, but I think I'll put my phone on a waiting list in case they need a "spare" instead - I really hate wasting money even if it's not my own).

Other than that, if I had a contract coming due I'd be all over this thing like butter on toast.

The only real downside I see is the non-replaceable battery. I'm not too upset about storage, 8GB should be enough so of course I'll spring for 16GB. But I tend to use my devices for a long time, and I'd hate to be a few years down the road and looking forward to stylin' my future phone with Nutty Fudge or whatever the "N" version of Android is, and only be limited by the fact that the battery can't last the day any more. On the other hand, the thing will have easily paid for itself in the ability to hunt for low-cost service plans by then, so...

Micro-sim ordered and shipped. Just waiting for Nov 13 to get here!!

Why? Because I love pure Android, it's an excellent price, and I wanna leave Sprint in the worst way.

I'm getting the Nexus 4 and leaving Sprint forever!

Same boat here. I harbor no ill feelings towards Sprint, they are a decent value and their service is pretty solid, but it's still too expensive and LTE is essentially a pipe dream on that network.

. .. already signed up to be notified by T-Mobile. 16GB. I've been doing okay with 8GB on my phone, based on my usage in think I'll be more than happy with T-Mobile fast 4G here in nyc, 2GB RAM and Android 4.2
