Guess I got the white one. I thought it was silver from the pic but it doesn't make much difference to me. I am a bit concerned about the size of it when opened but we'll see how that goes when it gets here.
Well it's definitely shorter folded than the s24u and when open wider

My Fold6 arrived about three hours ago I wasn't able to get it setup because of a crisis with one of our cats. Once that all turned out fine it was a simple job of running smart switch between the Fold and my S24U. Pretty amazing how simple smart switch makes the transition now.

This smaller keyboard is about to drive me up a wall right now. Gotta go right now a d get.this new keyboard switched over to Gboard.

I waited patiently for the Samsung Fold6 to replace my Fold5 and felt that for the minor changes that it offered I could not justify shelling out £1,800+ for it and decided to wait for the launch of the Google Pixel9 Fold.

After the lacklustre launch of the Pixel9 Fold and its smaller battery and Tensor chip I resigned myself to not upgrading until I came across the Vivo X Fold3 Pro Global with its large, bright screen, huge battery and superfast charging, I decided to take a chance and received it a week ago. Since the lack of eSIM and stylus were not deal breakers to me, it was not a big jump.

All I can say is... WOW!

This is the fold phone that both Samsung and Google need to beat. Whilst I am by no means a professional photographer the Zeiss cameras on this device blows me away.

Luckily, I found a distributor here in the U.K. who also covers the U.S.A. and offers a years warranty.

Since this is the Samsung Fold6 section of the forums, (there does not appear to be a Vivo X Fold3 Pro section), I will leave any further comparisons but if like me, you are underwhelmed at the latest Fold offerings from Samsung and Google I can recommend taking a look at the new Vivo X Fold3 Pro Global.

Thank you for sharing with most definitely like to hear your thoughts on it.
Thanks @Bkdodger1 but I do not want to clog up the Galaxy Fold6 thread with another device and risk the wrath of @mustang7757 or @Laura Knotek, (they beat you with sticks of damp rhubarb for infractions ;)), and so if anyone can point me to either the Vivo X Fold3 Pro Global thread or somewhere I can legitimately post, I will. :)

I'd like to see a size comparison in terms of screen size between S23 ultra and Fold 6 when closed.

From reading the specs (Yes, I can read! ) It seems like the Fold is smaller when closed. I kind of fear that I would wind up using it closed more often than not and thus actually wind up with less screen space for most things. That is not a desirable outcome.

I visited my T-Mobile store. Surprise, they have none on the shelf and they said they probably never will have because they tend not to stock them except online. Sure, I'm going to spend that much money on a phone that I can't actually touch or play with.

In any event, I pretty much decided not to get this year's. But I am leaning to getting next year's. But any comments on the relative sizing? Maybe could anybody post a picture of the Z-Fold 6 closed vertically next to a s23 ultra or even a s24 ultra? TIA

That's awesome, thanks

I admit I'm a little more concerned with my issue now. I really have to play with one, but I would be leaning now to Ultra for next upgrade.

Playing with it might be different. How often do you find yourself opening it up vs. just using it closed?

Welcome yeah definitely try it hands on might give you different impressions from photos, you will camera quality and zoom and probably little bit battery life going to the fold but the inner screen is a beauty
