Who's getting Fold 6

I peeped the Mr. Mobile review… I think the foldable philosophy from Samsung has been outer (cover) screen for quick tasks… maybe some light scrolling through social media. And if someone demands to do more.. unfold.

I personally don’t see the problem with this… Should the outer screen get wider? Absolutely! But not to the point where we reaching S Ultra territory, which I think that’s what critics want (seen Flossy mention this).

People have a hard time understanding the concept of the fold and it's front screen. You are exactly right, the front screen is intended for those quick text messages, replies, quick glances at Facebook, tic toc, whatever you fancy. If you have the time and want to deep dive, open the fold and bam..you have a big screen. Some people are not happy unless you have a huge phone. I think they want this below

And it boggles my mind when I see reviewers criticize the outer (cover) display on the Fold 6... if it was the first-generation Fold, they will certainly have a point. But as you mention... they can UNFOLD it if they want a larger display.

It's as if they refuse to comprehend that concept.

Love the fact that NOW both the flip fold6 folds completely flat. I got the silver colorway and I'm so happy they finally made a silver color. I love everything silver. And the matte finish just elevates the build quality.

I thought it was going be minor improvement going into it and was ready and accepted it but this device surprised me from last Fold 5 , good job Samsung, there are things I still want like built-in Spen but I'm sure it will get there, I'm happy with the upgrade.

I realized awhile back that everyone has their own wants, "needs" and desires when it comes to cell phones. For example, I could care less about an Spen, but others won't go without one.......... That said, the ability to accurately type on the cover screen of the F4 (and F3), which I use frequently, escapes me. I am aware that the cover screen on the F6 is a little bigger but I am probably going to sit this one out and look at the Pixel 2 or Open 2 instead.

I don't have an issue typing on front screen.. currently doing that now. But that's the beauty of Android and having choices...some folks want a larger cover screen and Google & OnePlus offers that. But I rather have the software and service support that Samsung provides.

It's great having choices that's 100% true and you know I'm one for the wider screen I've been saying it for the longest but I have to say that little bit that they added although it doesn't seem like it's much has made a difference for using the outside screen for me.. typing has been easier and using my custom launcher to screen is not all cramped up

Yeah separate order. I have so many old AirPods lying around and this is a great deal to trade in the original 1st gen AirPods. Was planning to trade in the Buds 2 Pro but it was an easy decision when I saw they are giving $100 for any AirPods

Strange....when I ordered the 1st gen were 75 dollars.....still worth it to get rid of the older ones first. I also used the Shop app under another account and got an extra 50 dollars off.

Hmm for me in the trade in selection, it just had Airpods option. No generation or anything was mentioned. So I guessed I can send any Airpods

Returning the Fold 6 and Buds 3. Just personal preference with just not loving the device vrs the investment in it until the Ultra 25 or Fold 7, so I'll continue to..

1. Ui has been crashing on me with clean install.
2. Love the phone but lip on the front screen with the case doesn't work well. At work without a case it feels like I'm way too worried about dropping it, but I want to protect the investment so it's just not a good fit without one.
3. Notification issues with switching orientation when unfolding.
4. Face recognition failing when unfolding and screen changing orientation. Won't unlock until back to normal orientation and screen pattern used.
5. Don't like the screen coloring and quality compared to the Ultra. End of the day to each their own, it's a well built device and I'm excited about the best few years when I'll try again.

Lol.......I ordered the same as you! My comparison with fold and flip4 is that they are much more zippy with the current SOC.
The cases are very slim in profile as well. They offer grip and nice to hold as the gray color really looks good with the silver colorway! You'll love it

I have the S24 Ultra that I pre-ordered in January and I love the phone but it's just too big for me. I carry my phone in my shirt pocket and most of the time I'm wearing a pocket t shirt since I'm retired and can wear whatever I feel like on most days, and most days I'm in shorts and a pocket t.

Problem is that the Ultra is really too big for the pocket on the t shirt and it falls out easily. So I'm going to try out the fold.

It's supposed to be here no later than Wednesday. Have some questions about cases and screen protectors but that's for another thread.

Guess I got the white one. I thought it was silver from the pic but it doesn't make much difference to me. I am a bit concerned about the size of it when opened but we'll see how that goes when it gets here.

The size of it when opened up is what we like about it. Most don't open it up while on the go, we open it up when we are sitting and playing games, deep diving, watching videos. The front screen is used for on the go stuff, one handed things. That's why the smaller screen is important, when we want a big screen we can just open it.

Using the front screen will take some adjustment, but just keep telling yourself it's for on the go quick usage, is not intended to be the main screen.
