Never! The first thing I did 5 minutes after FedEx delivered the handset was put a screen protector on it and I'm using the Verizon TPU case.
That's what I just did yesterday. Didn't want to but the phone is so slippery I had to.

Their official site (Incipio Feather - Incipio Samsung Galaxy Nexus feather Ultralight Hard Shell Case, Samsung Galaxy Nexus Cases, Samsung Galaxy Nexus Covers, Samsung Galaxy Nexus Accessories, Samsung Galaxy Nexus Protection, Galaxy Nexus Cases ) says that it will NOT work with an extended battery.

I see what you guys are talking about with how slippery the phone is with dry hands. I've almost dropped it several times. Verizon TPU case is going back on.

In my pocket once from my desk to my car and the edges of the screen where the case is are lined with dust. Looks terrible. Hate it but this phone is too slippery.

I had the screen protector that came on the GN until a few days ago. (Got the GN on release day in Dec) I purchased a Zagg, which I had been using on my Incredible and Xoom. Did not install returned. Purchased the Verizon screen protectors last week, did not install returning tomorrow. I'm going bare on the screen. I even pulled the Zagg off my Xoom just because. I do have the Seido surface case and holster for the GN. Just for the days when I want to use my holster. If its chillin in my pocket then its naked.

Had the VZW shell and holster with the kickstand. It is actually pretty nice and fits with the extended battery fine, no gaps or any forcing it in. But I returned it because it came in a bundle with the awful VZW anti-glare, fingerprint magnet screen protectors and charger. The charger is fine, but I am just going to buy it online when I get the free-standing charger and a few other accesories in order to get the 30% off.
I have the Incipio NGP on order and will use that when it comes. From another's review with pic, it works fine with the extended battery with the back cover on. I will use the screen protector that comes with it but may get the oleophobic Steinheil eventually.
Long term I may get the Otterbox Defender.

Otterbox Commuter case...I prefer naked phones, but this is the first phone I felt the need to put a case on.

Naked, I only like to keep phones for around 10-12 months anyway (the OG Droid being the exception, nearly lasted 24 months with that puppy)
