Who's going to give their Honor 8 up for a Honor 9?

Yeah we can't even tough the international version as it won't work to full potential. I just think it's going to be a while before honor releases the 9 to the US. We are the least on their mind right now as their main core have to be serviced before we do. We don't even knock a dent in their international sales at all. Not until they make a full official release here in the US we will be stuck being last to the party on their new releases. I wish they would hurry though. I want a 9!

It certainly is unfortunate. But they probably have a reason behind why they aren't releasing the USA version at the same time as international. Well, hopefully it will be soon.

It's definitely got to be because they just aren't officially in the US yet and we are on the last of their list right now. It will be great though once it's released. I am either getting the Honor 9 or the Mate 9. Haven't decided yet. I'm leaning towards the Mate bc I have my S8 which fits my one handed needs now. Plus I've got it unlocked and my buddy flashed the ROM on it and removed all the carrier bloat ware and carrier screens that pop up when you turn it on. Now my S8 is just like I bought it straight from Samsung unlocked except it's arctic silver which you can only get it in midnight black carrier unlocked to my knowledge. I'm super excited about it being unlocked and absolutely zero carrier bloat ware now. I will in fact be going back to cricket now. Far, far away from Sprint!!! They are awful to deal with. Just awful.

Do you want two smaller phones though? I mean since you have the s8 now, getting the honor 9 would be having two smaller phones. I think it would make more sense to get the mate 9 instead of the honor 9, in your case

That's what I'm thinking too. That's why I'm leaning towards the Mate 9. It's just so much more expensive. That's my only drawback. If I can catch it on sale then it would be okay.

Does anyone know what my S8 now fully unlocked and now flashed to be fully carrier branded free. I now have an S8 that is just like I bought it direct from Samsung carrier free and fully unlocked. I don't know what the value would be of my S8. Does anyone have any ideas of what it's value would be now since it's fully unlocked and now fully bloat ware free and carrier free? Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know much about pricing and such but I still think you'd get a decent sale out of it; especially since it's carrier unlocked and bloat free. Two pluses! Good luck!

I know. I'd love to wait on it but my guess is December at best. I don't think we will see the 9 anytime soon. I hope I'm dead wrong as that is what I really want to get my hands on over another honor 8. I love the S8 but honor was my phone for a long while and I miss it. Hopefully I'll be able to sell my S8 and pick up that Mac book air and still be able to get the honor 8 all off that one sell. If I'm going to sell I need to hurry though bc the note 8 is about to be released and it's going to impact the S8 resell value I think. Right now I'm just waiting on the official word that my S8 is totally unlocked. I've already flashed it so it's now like I bought it direct from Samsung without any trace of carrier branding and bloat ware which should be appealing to some when I do sell it. Totally for another thread but the only other device I'd consider would be a 5 inch pixel which I've seen them cross the market place. Most likely I'll end up getting a Pearl color Honor 8 though in the end and have enough cash to pick up the Mac book air from a buddy of mine too.

The Pearl White is gorgeous - I love mine so much. I rarely take it out of my clear cases though; because as beautiful as it is naked, I'm always afraid, with my luck, something bad would happen to it lool. Keep us updated!

I sold my S 8+ and my pixel xl but can't seem to sell my Honor 8... Something is keeping me back...

But even if i sell it, i still have my m3 to remain a part of HOG

Honestly all the honor 8 colors are great and you can't go wrong with any of them... Honor did a great job on the aesthetics of the honor 8.

But keep in mind that the pearl Honor 8 has a white front... I thought that you said that you didn't want a white front phone?

I'm normally not a fan of white phones but the pearl honor has I'd be okay with. I'd try and get a red skin for it which should look killer against the pearl white and not use a case. I haven't been using a case for my S8 and have a Red skin on it. If I don't get the Pearl it'll definitely be the Blue. Again I just keep thinking about knowing the honor 9 is out and if I should wait but I honestly don't see it being released until December before Christmas as a marketing plan for Huawei. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

I know man! I feel all left out in the cold. Funny I have a really nice S8 and I spend most of my time here on the honor 8 forum. It's what I know best and I know Huawei honor pretty well. I know the software quite well as I love it. EMUI is by far the best you can get. I've found not anything to be like it. Some would say it's like IOS but if anyone knows it would be me since I used exclusive apple since the iPhone 5 was released. I didn't touch another device until well after the 6s was released then that was when I jumped ship to Android and then to finally find out about honor and actually use the honor 8 as my daily phone for a long time. I miss it to be honest even as nice as the S8 is I still miss my honor 8.
