Who's seriously considering the V30?

I'm adding it to my considerations if my carrier gets it. Otherwise my list consists of the note 8, pixel XL 2 and S8+

Too bad LG couldn't get the pre-orders going sooner and take advantage of the Samsung - iPhone / Pixel announcement gap. Not to mention Essential's travails. I saw the Essential Phone as (past tense, barring some sort of miracle) a serious contender to be this year's most unique Sammy / Apple alternative.

At this point I'm waiting to see what Pixel2 offers relative to the v30. Right now, I'd have a hard time not committing to a v30 through ATT, if I could, but the longer it takes, the easier it is to wait for the Pixel2 launch.

Have you ever taken group shots indoors? Many photos I take are indoor spur of the moment shots. For long range I have a different camera....
I have been the savior at birthday parties and such. :-)

Yeah, I haven't had any issues with my Note 5 taking group shots. Zoom would be so much more useful than a wide angle lens for me. A shot like the one I attached would be much easier with a zoom lens.

Even if I bought the V30, I would rarely use the wide angle lens.

It looks interesting but still am going to wait a little. AndroidPolice reported on their unit they were already seeing issues with the screen (hopefully they just got a dud) because this looks like one of the best, most complete phones LG has put out to date. With that being said, hopefully the pixel is similar to this, that will most likely be my choice if the case.

I've had an S8 since last April. Really nice phone and I'm a real fan of SPay, but, dealing with Samsung customer service is a nightmare. But the real reason I'm looking at the V30 is that I'm in an area that is due to have TMO 600 service up by the end of the year. Currently all services drop off about 200 feet from our house and we need a booster to get reliable signal in or around our house. I'm hoping that 600mhz will fix this issue. I also think the V30 looks like a nice phone. My biggest disappointment will be not having an external notification led.

I had the chance to try the cameras today, focussing on the secondary cameras. Even though the wide angle camera has a lower resolution and no OIS its photos were very nice. The lack of distortion was impressive!
The front facing camera on the other hand seemed bad, thanks to its grainy 5 megapixels. This phone is definitely not for selfie queens or kings.

In addition to my previous post, I want to state as a reason to consider the V30 that it has a FM radio. Besides the G6 it is the only highend device this year with a FM radio! Compared to internet radio it saves battery life and a ton of data usage.

It's always so interesting to me that people want FM radio in their phones. I don't even use it in my car. I really can't stand the radio. Too many ads. I usually use satellite radio, and I've never had a problem with data usage from streaming services. You can always cache music as well.

Have the V20.. going to get the V30- DAC, wireless charging, improved camera (and I like the wide angle camera already), found I use the 2nd screen less (reach?) , except for calls (AOD/floating bar will be good), bigger AMOLED screen without the 2nd screen eating some of it up.

If there are long ads I switch to another channel. I don't have much data volume, because it is quite expensive here, and I don't want to care about caching. But I definitely see your point, and that there can be much different behaviors in terms of music services!

FM radio won't be on all carrier models
