Who's switching from getting the EVO LTE to the SGS3?

For most people its about the screen and the camera and it seems that the One X and EVOLTE have the S3 beat in both.

I don't think all the new software including s voice and the new gestures like holding finger on screen and turning sideways to activate camera will have the impact Sammy desires in the long run. its brand new now and of course seems magical, but IMO only the iPhone can pull off those kinds of "magical" implementations. android has had things like voice search forever, and it's been overshadowed. iphone adds it and now Siri commercials are everywhere. the sheer number of loyalists, sales and funds at apples disposal allow that kind of stuff to take off with them. I just don't think people will find it as revolutionary on an android device. initially yes, but only for a very short while, especially when some of the new software ie the holding finger and turning for cam activation seems more cumbersome than not, at least based on the vid I saw of that feature in action. it would be great if it weren't this way, but crazily I think these features on the new gs3 will ultimately end up being compared to and called "copying" the iPhone.

I could've sworn I seen them claim that the SGS3 was going to be HD Super AMOLED (obviously not Super AMOLED+ that many are waiting for), but could it possibly be something else?

It's going to be VERY hard to beat the Super LCD 2 display

I would seriously think about going SGS3 if we were getting the international version. The prelim benchmarks look sensational - especially the gpu. The US version, however is just going to be a late to market, inferior E4GLTE.

Side by side I don't really see that big of a difference. I think people just like to rag on pentile. But I think the build is much better on the EVO and Sense>touchwhiz.

Since I do not like tw and have always been a fan of HTC, the EVO 4G LTE for me. It's just a better phone, camera and sense is pretty sweet. Add a 64 gig micro sd to the EVO + Google Drive and get ready for some fun. Now if there could be a awesome case to go along with it.

I agree, ahecht. I've carefully compared the pentile screen and cannot tolerate the garish oversaturation and lack of sharpness of AMOLED. I will be ordering my E4GLTE first thing Monday morning.

Had all the EVO's so I shall continue with the tradition beside I don't like tw or Samsung's cheap looking plastic phones. Last but not least, they always seem to have problems with their GPS.

Frankly, the battery's not enough (only 100mAh more in the "original" version). If the improvements in battery life are comparable to the original One X, battery is frankly a wash. I'll be ordering the Evo on Monday.

Sticking to the Evo 4G LTE, myself...

SGSIII doesnt necessarily blow it out of the water... It'll come down to interface, and the Evo 4G LTE wins in that department, plus, I'm a sucker for an incredible camera!

Evo 4G LTE also comes out REALLY soon, Sprints iteration of the SGS3 probably won't land until Aug-Nov timeframe... Don't wanna wait that long.

Me either i been waiting 5 months I can't wait too much longer time to upgrade plus every year there a better phone anyway or more like every 3 to 6 months

im getting the EVO lte bc it comes out first... IF i then want the s3 i'll just sell the evo on craigslist and probably have to add a couple hundred on top of that and buy the s3.. full price...

I'll be ordering my EVO4GLTE on-line first thing monday morning. I've had the EVO 4G and the 3D. They have been superb.

People get too caught up in cell speeds. I get that some people really do need higher speeds but average Joe really doesn't as most data is app related as opposed to downloads. Black E4GLTE it is for me!
