Basically, I don't wanna have to go through the hassle of getting a loaner and setting it up and then doing it all over again when the replacement notes arrive?

I am. My Note7 has been doing fine. I may have to switch it out next weekend because I have a flight on 9/19 and I don't need TSA confiscating my phone. If I don't hear anything about the Note7 replacement, I may consider the iPhone 7. I don't want to consider that phone, though.

The setup process doesn't take long if you have everything ready to be restored/synced. If you are not backing up data or syncing accounts then yes, it can take a while.
