Why add PDANet to Foxfi?

My old phone has a Win OS and I loved PDA Net for USB tethering. I know have the Spectrum and can't get PDA to install correctly. I've been a couple of rounds with their tech support and the last suggestion was to add Foxfi.

Installing Foxfi did not allow PDA to install and function but I discovered that Foxfi works all by itself.

So I'm left wondering what does PDANet do that Foxfi doesn't? And does Foxfi hide the tethering from big red? What's purpose of Foxfi Add On?

Thanks!

Foxfi is for wireless tethering and pdanet is for wired.

They always know when you are using a third party tether app but it doesn't matter now because the FCC stopped Verizon from being able to block people from doing so.

Fox first has an add on that seems to make the app play nicely with the spectrum. I would suggest installing that also.
