Why all the anger?

I'll make you a deal... you continue to allow me to gripe, which is my right, and I'll continue to let you be a sychophantic Verizon apologist, which is your right. Deal?

LOL....touche... Good one!

So if the dummy units had shown 4:20 on them does that mean all of VZW was smoking dope too? :)

I'd like to see the real smoking gun on who's fault it is, VZW or Best Buy.
When was the last time Best Buy was given the Exclusive rights to the release of a phone?
That's what makes me point the blame in their direction...not VZW.

I can't fault BB for being optimistic and wanting to get sales....but in today's world of lightning fast information (false or true) perhaps everyone should be a little more careful...

[Brohug] See... if we all budge just a little, we can get along! [/Brohug]

i dont think the fact that best buy has an exclusive on this one is the problem. It really doesn't matter if they have an exclusive on it or not. Verizon still has to launch the phone and push it to its retailers. It doesn't matter if the number of those retailers are 1 or a 1000.

Its verizon's fault, their iphone sales were pathetic and they needed to lock in the few that bought it.

I honestly think that the thunderbolt delay is their way of preventing their week 1 iphone sales from jumping ship and thats going to cause them to release the thunderbolt no earlier than 3/3.

Its just what makes better business sense to me, after all I do have an MBA :)

Why potentially risk an entire week of sales by launching another high volume phone within the return period of another...

.

I don't think pathetic is the word I'd use when they broke their single phone sales record the first day, online only pre-order within a few hours.

The retail side of things at store level are without a doubt less than expected.
There are a TON of reasons for that.
From last year's phone to people not wanting to pay the ETF on their ATT phone to waiting to see if the i5 drops on VZW and if it's LTE....and so on.
