Why am I recieving the same pic over and over when someone sends me a pic?

[Android Central Question]

Asking for my uncle who has a Droid phone: whenever someone texts him a picture, he is always shown the one same picture he has previously received from someone else.

I sent him a picture tonight (texted) and he received a totally different picture. The pic he received was from when someone texted that to him weeks ago. Help!! I have never heard of this before.

Yes, he has turned his phone on and off, still doesn't correct the problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Tell him to go to Settings>Apps, select the messaging app, then Storage, then Clear Cache, and see if the problem persists.
