Why am I unable to use my phone properly when in a dark place?

When it's in dark place my phone can't use properly

When i use my phone LG Magna in dark room and i'm press power button, the screen is off again, and when i use in the bright room it's work properly, why?

Check the proximity sensor setting..

It has something to do with the phone not getting light... So it thinks it's in your pocket... Or something like that... And it turns off
