Why are ads appearing on some of my apps?

Today, I've gotten those fullscreen ads on apps like Discord, Messages, and Instagram. Does anyone know how to fix this, and is this is normal?

This highly suggests you have adware installed on your phone.
This usually comes from a "free" app that you downloaded, or from an app that used to behave nicely but has been updated to misbehave.
You need to find the adware app and uninstall it. The hard part is finding the app.
