Why are ads popping up?

Why are monads popping up?

When I unlock the screen after hitting the power button, I am redirected to either the play store (mine doesn't even work) or an ad (mostly flirchi, anastasiadate, or pokemon go spin game) yet no browsers open. How do I stop this?

Did you download from the Play store or sideload an APK?
