Why are entire galleries missing on my samsung s5?

I first lost my entire camera roll, and found that this sometimes happens on another post, and i restarted my ph and got it back but now i have lost my entire screenshot gallery and another gallery i made and they wont come back no matter how much i restart. Any advice would be very much appreciated! I dont use an sd card and didnt back them up

Are the photos saved to Internal Storage or a microSD card? If the latter, I'd be concerned about a corrupt card (which is unfortunately not uncommon with Samsung devices, judging by the frequency of complaints on these forums). Unmount the card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and insert it into your computer. Can the computer read it, and if so, can you access the photos using Windows Explorer?
