Why are my apps on my SD Card disappearing from my homescreen after I restart it?

My apps on SD Card disappear from homescreen after restart.

I have an Alcatel One Touch Idol X running 4.2.2 and I moved apps onto my SD Card for more space. Now, everytime i restart or reboot my device, the apps disappear from the homescreen and I have to drag them back onto the homescreen from the App Drawer.

Any solutions for this? Would rooting fix this problem? Thanks.

PROBLEM FIXED: I just downloaded Nova Launcher Prime and used it as my permanent launched and all apps load fine now.
