why are my micro SD card(s) failing on my samsung tab3 10.1

i've had the tab3 for about 1 yr. the second micro sd card (which was purchased Jan. 2015 just failed (tablet doesn't recognize it, same problem as the first sd card
). both sd cards were SanDisk.

Have you tried formatting them with your PC to fix them?
