Why are posts tagged with Sent From the My Nexus 7?

Why do people add Sent from my Nexus, 7 to their posts? Who cares where it was posted from? I find the additional information sentence. annoying.

The "posted from" signatures pretty much originated with early "PocketPC" phones. It was used to explain away numerous typos and very short, non-detailed e-mails. I couldn't stand typing anything on my iPAQ! My replies were usually only one or two words.

Even on a Smartphone (in my case, Droid Razr) or a tablet (Nexus 7) and using Tapatalk, I'm still not going to write a detailed response. The reply you're getting from me right now is on a desktop. If I were on my phone or tablet, the reply would have been real brief or I would have just skipped making a reply. The tag line serves to indicate that someone is not on a desktop/laptop.

Is the tag annoying? IMO, I don't care.

As we say in the UK - "Hard luck - live with it"

Sent from my PC - not using Tapatalk - not from my Nexus 7 - not from my Nokia E6

I'm right there with you. I find that annoying and just clutters up a post. I also always remove it when replying to a post. But what I find even worse is a custom signature that's setup without a clear separation between the post content and the sig. C?mon man! If you're going to do it, do it right! :)

Ever keep seeing one a those threads that make you think, please God, please just let it die already.............

Just like Chris Flowers posted, no need to create a thread complaining about it, just move on. IMO, signatures don't cludder posts since most threads or replies are short. C'mon man!
