Why are some of my messages gone???

[Android Central Question]

In the last week of October 2020- I used Smart Switch to transfer my messages and applications from my old phone Samsung galaxy J3 emerge to my new phone Samsung galaxy note lite 10.

When the procedure was done- I noticed that not all of my messages were transferred to my new phone. A month later which was today- I looked at the inbox of my old phone Samsung galaxy J3 emerge to look at my old messages. I noticed that many of my old messages are gone! I did not delete them. Some of the messages are still there but many of them are gone. What happened? Why did using Smart Switch cause some of my messages to get deleted??? I'm very angry about this.
