Why are there so many wierd files appearing all over my Internal Storage?

I noticed that my internal device storage has wierdly named files. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kitkat. These files recently started appearing in the device storage itself and in the folders. Some appear in "Alarms", "Downloads", "Ringtones", "Movies", and all the other folders that are normally found in the internal storage.

The first one I found is a hidden named ".configqwpo" which contains a file named ".configqwpo.dmc".
The folder is followed by another named ".configqwpo11" that also contains ".configqwpo11.dmc", both having a size of 43.00b.

I deleted these files but appeared again after some time, even with the device turned off. More were created having different names until there were 32 of them.

One thing I noticed is that all these files have the letters "qwpo" in their name.
.ghjk_fghuqwpo, .ghjk_fghuqwpo11, .hyui_coqwpo, .hyui_coqwpo11, .redghj_jklqwpo, .redghj_jklqwpo etc. They also come in different formats such as mp3, txt, dmc, and con. They also cant be opened as those files except from txt, which just contains random characters.

I just want to know where these files came from and if they're dangerous cause they just recently started appearing, and appears again after getting deleted.

After looking it up, it seems that these files come from the app Clean Master.
You can get rid of these files permanently by following these steps:
1. Clear the data from Clean Master
2. Uninstall Clean Master
3. Delete each unknown file with the letters "qwop"
The files should be gone and won't come back unless you install a certain version of Clean Master.

you are right and not only clean master but only apps from cheetah mobile needs to be uninstalled appreciate the quick response and thank you!

I have this too. Tons of stupd config files everywhere and it renamed my SD card. It comes from the cheetah mobile app PhotoGrid. Deleted the files, uninstalled the app via the play store, restarted my phone, and my SD card reverted back to its normal naming. Much better!

I also had this files and i'm pretty sure, they're coming from the Antutu Benchmark Test.
I think, they are harmless.

I found it by narrowing down the source over the creation time of these files. At this particular day I installed Antutu from GPlay, run it once and deleted Antutu. I made some Screenshots and they all have this creation date. As well as all "suspicious" Files and Folders.
At this day, I did nothing more than that with my Phone.

Regina, do you have any apps by Cheetah installed? They should all be uninstalled. (They not only mess up your phone, they steal your data.)

Antutu, unless you downloaded a copy from an untrustworthy source, won't create visible files on your phone. (It does create a few when it runs, it has to - how else do you test the storage write and read speeds - but you can leave them. I first ran Antutu on - probably - a 2011 phone. And I've run it on every phone I've owned since then. No problems., Cheetah apps do cause problems.)

No Cheetah Apps, no Clean Master .. ever!
The Files and folders had all a point at the beginning. I deleted the files and folders, which are created at the day I tested Antutu. No Problems so far. I didn't tested storage speed.
I'm finished here, cause I have no problems.
