Why Are You Not Upgrading To Or Buying The S20?

"
Have you tried 120hz, or even 90hz on a phone though? You will have a very difficult time going back to 60hz."

I have 90hz (forced via developer option) refresh on my Pixel 4XL. It hasn't stopped me from using my Note9 as my "daily driver".

Same with me when I had a Pixel 4. Went back to the S10. But man that difference in smoothness was very noticeable for me. It confirmed that the next time I upgrade, it has to be to a phone with at least 90hz refresh rate. 120hz on the S20 is easily the update I'm most looking forward to. More than the cameras.

I have thought about it a lot. Like others though, going to wait for the Note to see what it brings to the table. Currently using a Note 10+ so no rush really.

Yeah I really like the N10+. For sure it will hold me over until the next Note gets here.

As an AT&T Galaxy S8 Active owner I am interested in "learning" IF the 20 will actually get notifications! The Active was BAD when I first "bought" it and each update got worse! It is so bad that I use my old Nexus 6 on the desk to get notifications THEN wake up the stupid Samsung!

FPS still sucks. S20 doesn't have the better nm 5g. Gratuitous overpricing. Bottom bezel appears to be thicker than the Note 10.

Plus I'm enjoying my $250 no contract BlackBerry key2LE as my new phone this year.

Only thing I don't like about the s20 phones is not having a headphone jack. Yes the price is high, but everything now a days is a lot more then what they cost before. As times goes, everything is going to be more expensive, that's life, get over it.
I'm a gamer, and I don't have a TV at home, so I use my phone for games and watching movies. So I think I'm going to get the s20 ultra, because I love having the 16g of RAM, and the 120 refresh rate. People want to say that we don't need the 16 RAM, but as a gamer, I do. If it kills the battery, so what, that's what the 45w charger is for. It just sucks that it doesn't have the headphone jack. Other then that this phone is awesome. So far all of the compliments that I have heard about the new s20 phones are very petty. You all should waste your time complaining on something more important.

I don't know why, but i am finding it very easy to not push the button on Upgrading.

2 Reasons for me really.

1. I don't like the Large Payment at the end or give your phone back
2. The Camera from reviews looks not an awful lot better than my S10+

I really am not feeling the love for the S20

What are your reasons if you are not getting it or haven't yet?

Sadly and unfortunately, I am not upgrading to the latest version because of the price. Up until now, I've always purchased the latest and greatest every two years but I can no longer justify the price. $1400 is beyond what I consider reasonable.

OMG! I HAVEN'T FINISHED PAYING FOR this S10+ and just gave my S9 to my mom...I will have this phone for years! Not 2 or 3...5 or 6!

I need my stylus, i have note10+. i use stylus all the times to select texts from pic or screenshot and pin it to screen so I can enter those infos easily when filling in form.

No face unlock, and price too high. and I don't like fingerprint scanners being under the display

Too expensive, Too big, Verizon not carrying base S20. The Plus is just too big for my hands and too big for my budget.

Eh. As someone who left apple for deleting the headphone jack, I'll pass again.
There is no way I am paying over $1000 for a device that removed the headphone jack.
I get it, everything is going wireless they say. But I'd much rather they delete the useless charging port (yay no more cables) and slap that 3.5mm hole in there.
Plus BT headphones sound like a dumpster fire compared to my pioneers.

I currently have a Note 9 and the fact that Samsung has ditched the headphone jack has stopped me dead in my tracks from upgrading. Second, the prices for these phones are so beyond absurd its not even funny. My first car (2001 Ford Taurus SE) that lasted 3 years cost $1400. WHY would I pay that much for a phone? And from a phone company that teased its competitor for ditching the headphone jack just to turn around and do the same. Yes the Galaxy S20 lineup has A+ specs. But year over year upgrades seem to be less and less worthwhile. If it was $800 I would upgrade.

I'm picking up the S20 ultra, I'm upgrading from my one plus 7 pro, since I'm disappointed with the leak info of one plus 8 having a punch hole display I thought might as well go back to Samsung. And the camera on the ultra was a huge seller for me.

Heck I think the one plus 7 pro is amazing device still my favorite with that motorized camera choice :), the phone is still powerful and could easily still be just as powerful 3 years down the line before upgrading but I have a problem with the newest gadget stuff lol...

I'm still keeping my one plus 7 pro and buying the ultra

Still on the fence but leaning towards keeping my money this time around. The s10 plus is still a great phone. Price jump this year is too much. Not enough of a design change or performance upgrade. Feels like the s8 to s9 upgrade

No one has mentioned the refresh rate or the telephoto capability. I havent seen either of these 2 things in action, but I imagine they are noticeable upgrades. Just my 2 cents. :)
