Why aren't I receiving text message notifications on my Gear S2 Classic 3G?

Not receiving text message notifications on Gear S2 Classic 3G

Hi, I have a S7 Edge and a Gear S2 Classic with the e-SIM. Both phones same network etc.

I can receive all notifications that are coming from my phone like facebook/twitter/email etc but just not text messages. With the watch having an e-SIM, is it even possible to receive notifications from another mobile number? I know you can do auto-forwarding for the calls but is this possible for the messages?

Open up Gear Manager, Go to Notifications, Go to Manage Notifications, then scroll through the list and make sure that your messaging app in checked to receive notifications. If not, click it and then select Done.
