Why aren't my text messaging apps working correctly?

text message app not working correctly

new phone (Galaxy Grand Prime) phone works fine, but I cna only send / receive texts to and from my wife(different carrier!) Text won't get or send to or from anyone else in my contacts - including my son who has the same phone and carrier as my wife!) Did a factory reset earlier the week, no change

Who is your carrier? Who is your wife's carrier?

Check your APN settings. Don't know your carrier otherwise, I would try and find them
