Why aren't my Whatsapp contacts updating?

whatsapp contacts not updating

Dear all,

I have a lenevo A6000 plus which got updated to lollipop recently, but after the update i am not able to update my whatsapp contact which is creating a problem as only numbers are getting displayed.

Please help!!!

go to security app (not setting so security) manage app permissions. find WhatsApp in apps section . look out for read contacts permission and allow it. It has happened bcoz u denied the Read Contacts Permission for what's app.

Are you sure those numbers are stored as valid contacts in your phone? You can try uninstalling/re-installing whatsapp. I've used it on Lollipop devices and it still works OK.

Do what souvikultimate mentioned if nothing happens, don't worry to much about it. It happened to me just about a week ago where all of my contacts just showed the phone number and after restarting my phone a few times and almost considering uninstalling and installing the app again it'll went back to normal. It did it out of nowhere and I didn't do anything at all it just fixed itself.
