I know nothing about this subject other than what I have picked up over the last week.
I stupidly erased my OS on my HTC EVO 4G.
I successfully flashed JBL v1.9 custom ROM BY Shagnasty. I flashed a zip file from my SD card using TWRP Recovery option.
I tried to do the same with stock ROMs but they failed. When a failure reason is given it is usually the binary updater file and when I have taken an updated binary updater file and put that in the stock rom the flash fails but without any reason given.
What I want to do is activate my phone for service with the Sprint dialer codes. I believe this function resides in the EPST.apk file but I don't think I can take that out of a stock rom and use it with custom roms?
If anyone can suggest something else to try I would be grateful.
