Re: Why cant I save contacts on my coolpad legacy android?

My Coolpad legacy did the same thing 1 week after I brought it. Had to do a hard reset. To get contacts working again. Did it again last week. Just found an easier way then a hard reset. Go into system settings, hit apps, then hit show system apps. I cleared all caches and data from everything in there that said contacts or contacts storage. Turned off the phone, enabled them again and everything started working right again. Figured it out yesterday and lost no previous contact info.

Hi, welcome!
Thank you for sharing your fix !

Google contacts wont save a new or edited contact.

I cannot save a new contact or save any edits to my Google contacts app. The app lets me make the changes or create a new contact but when "save" is clicked nothing happens. When you exit the page it asks, "discard changes?" If you say no nothing happens. You have to exit with out saving anything.
I am sync'd to my Google account. I have tried everything I can from turning account sync off and on reinstalling etc. Nothing. I currently have a Coolpad phone. But frankly I think it's something with the account.

Ugh, Coolpad.:'( Whenever this question appears, I automatically know it's a Coolpad. Contact the manufacturer and tell them to fix their bugs!
